Once you install the Xboom app on your device it is easy to connect the speaker via blue tooth. This gives you more control over the speaker, especially the light settings. The sound boost feature is especially good and useful.

As soon as I connected to the speaker with my phone and turned it on I was amazed. The sound is rich, full and clear. This little speaker booms out the music! You can also turn on the side lighting which adds a bit of ambiance to your setting. The speaker can be controlled either directly or with the associated app. With the app, you can change the EQ settings, volume, etc. If you are looking for a small, portable, and great sounding Bluetooth speaker, I would strongly suggest this option.

I initially wanted something that is compact to play music when I am in my hotel room and hosting a room party, but this little device is small but powerful. I first tried it at home and the sound is loud, clear and undistorted throughout my entire house at various level. I love the sound boost function that amplifies the sound and really helps boost the mood and atmosphere with whatever is being plaid. I also really like the light effects at the side. I did not charge the device since I received it but as I write this I have been enjoying over 3.5 hours of sound with needing to charge. I also like that the power source is discreetly covered and the usb cord is included in the box. I would definitely recommend this for home or "on the road use'.

Enter the XG5 Xboom Go. Able to be connected to her wireless devices (phone/tablet) or even her TV, she now has a speaker she can take to any room in the house - or by the pool! The deep bass fills whatever room it is in, and while she says she wishes it had a case or handle to carry it around a little easier, she's so happy this is filling a need in her home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG XG5 Xboom Go portable speaker is so nice and compact. I have the speaker connected to my UltraGear monitor that accentuates it so well. For a compact speaker like this it packs a punch. I also have the XG7 big brother but this XG5 being nice and compact can fit and go with you just about any where. Not to mention the speaker has up to 18 hours of battery time. The speaker has easy Bluetooth connectivity button allowing you to connect your devices on the fly. If your old fashion then AUX is there to get it pumping in no time.

Better sound than similarly sized competitors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My problem with most portable speakers is the lack of bass which is inherently due to their design. I'd rather have a slightly larger speaker if it means better bass and the XG5 is better for it. The oversound soundscape is very good especially with the enhanced sound button on the unit.
Setting up bluetooth was fast and the app to control the lighting is easy to use. The battery is sufficient for its size and can last even longer if you turn off the lighting which is a big benefit to me. Since its usb c, you can charge it with your phone charger too.
