Great speaker BUT beware Multi-Mode!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great sounding speaker, long battery life, and a nice portable size with weather protection. BUT - I bought 4 for a reception, thinking the Multi-Mode would be a great way to sync the music. I got the 4 speakers, connected the 1st one with Bluetooth, then added the other 3 speakers using the app. It works great for sending the music for all 4 speakers, can control the lights, BUT the app volume control only controls the 1st speaker output. The other 3 have to be manually adjusted. I finally found the disclaimer in the notes on page 20 of the instructions. I'm baffled as how this feature is not available. Otherwise, this would have been the perfect portable speaker.

Never turns off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this speaker picks up any previously paired Bluetooth source that is transmitting and will not turn off. All Bluetooth sources must be off and not transmitting or this speaker comes on automatically.

The XG5QBK is designed to automatically connect to the last paired Bluetooth device when powered on for convenience. However, it seems this feature is causing issues in your case, as the speaker turns on even when you don't intend to use it.
To troubleshoot this:
Make sure all previously paired Bluetooth devices are turned off or have their Bluetooth functionality disabled when not in use. This will prevent the speaker from automatically connecting and turning on.
You can try clearing the speaker's Bluetooth pairing list by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds until the LED flashes blue rapidly. This will unpair all connected devices.
Consider using the speaker's auto power-off feature, which can be set to turn off the speaker after 15 minutes of inactivity to save battery life. You can enable this by pressing and holding the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt.

Very difficult to use 3.5mm ask computer speaker

Bought this to use as a computer speaker connecting to 3.5mm, everytime i have to turn on the speaker. It does not auto turn on. After i connect to Bluetooth, the only way to connect back to 3.5mm is the unplug and plug in again. There’s no way to easily switch between bluetooth and 3.5mm.

It produces sound that you would expect a much larger speaker. The led lighting effects are really cool and customizable. The subs at either end really thump and look great in motion. Good size speaker with loud and long lasting sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the LG XBOOM Go this model is XG5QBK and it comes with instructions and a USB C cable. The speaker right out the box feels nice and it is only 1.5 lbs. it is of a good size so it fits on my backpack easy. Downloading the app on both either Android or IOS is much cooler because I can play around with the sound and lights. The battery life can last up to 18 hours and I think it is more than plenty. I like the lights, they light up the space and brings life to the party. I also like that if other people have their own LG speakers that are compatible with wireless party link then with up to 10 speakers playing the same music, it is a party. Another plus side to this speaker is the ability to use the speaker as a speakerphone. At max volume the speaker does not get distorted in sound with the sound boost or standard. This is a speaker to take with every day to have a party anywhere. I like it as well as family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I noticed right off you only get a cord, no a/c adapter. I downloaded the Xboom app. Where it shows battery percent, connections, sound, and lights.
I was able to pair it to my tv and use it like a soundbar while streaming shows. I paired it with my voice device to voice command music. I just love the bass boost sound that I get from it. The sound fills the room for such a small speaker. The wireless range is quite far. I have used it outside next to the pool and on the patio. In the xboom app you can turn the lights to different colors. I'm not a big fan of the lights as they run the battery down a lot quicker. But guess it would be nice to have for a party. There is no handle to carry it around. I was looking to buy a case for transporting but there is nothing. I like the fabric grill and the rubber feet on the bottom, nothing vibrates when it's turned up. I"m impressed with the rich sound and the many things I can hook to it wireless and with a cord if you choose. You get 18 hr battery life at 50% volume and no lights. Wireless party link and can connect up to 10 of this same speaker and also the other LG models. Overall it sounds great, and it's very well made, and easy to use.
