Nice set

Have to agree with other reviewers, wish the face was handled differently. Repeatability of some steps will help keep you on your toes and focused. Nice piece Lego

Oh wow!

I was really impressed with how sturdy the base was when it was completed. The actual statue itself requires a lot of patience and concentration. Even though I swear I was putting all the right parts in the right places, I didn't have enough to finish the statue at the end, so I'm waiting for more pieces so I can add the final finishing touches. Like many other reviewers, I am somewhat disappointed in the face...it's kind of like an old "Three Stooges" movie that comes abruptly to an end and you find yourself asking out loud, "what happened"??? Anyway, it looks pretty impressive!

Thanks for your review! We're glad you're enjoying your set, but we're sorry to hear some pieces haven't made their appearance. Don't worry, though! They're on their way and Lady Liberty will soon be complete.

Received the Statue of Liberty as Father’s Day gift. First off, it was a very challenging build. There are several pieces that I hadn’t seen before in any sets. There are many curved wedge pieces used in this set. One slants one way and one slants the other (mirror image). It was very cumbersome to keep picking the piece up and realizing I needed the OTHER piece. The 3D view in the instructions of these pieces still makes it difficult to distinguish between the two, so be careful. My set appeared to be missing two small pieces, which I have ordered for replacement. Both the pedestal and the statue were fun to build and I enjoyed watching them take shape. I appreciate that it is a fulfilling build right up to the end.
I am disappointed that the tan pedestal bricks do not appear with the same sheen and contrast as they appear on the box. This would be the same as, say, the Empire State Building and small Big Ben set. The photos of the bricks on the box make it appear fancier than it actually is. Makes me want to dust it with graphite powder or something to accentuate the tan bricks’ nooks and crannies.
The size is impressive, might even be taller than the Burj Khalifa.

Lady Liberty at her best!

This was my first 'Architecture' build, and I am already looking into my next one! This set is a bit challenging with all of the small angled pieces, but the instructions are very well put together. This set was nostalgic, as I was at the statue almost 15 years ago. Very cool set, and very easy to display. The instruction booklet had really cool facts about the statue as well. History, challenging build, and the 'architecture' elements make this a great set!

One of the BEST LEGO sets that I have ever built

I got this for Christmas, as soon as I unwrapped it, i really wanted to make it. It took me six hours of building time (not including the breaks). 99% worth the money.
Some of the pieces are a bit jiggly, but since it's more for display rather than play, it doesn't really matter.
Would definitely recommend this to people who have time on their hands.

Good but..

Great for display, looks amazing and really does a good job of showing off the statue itself. However, the first part of the build was horrible. Repeating the same exact steps over and over and over and over again got very annoying. It was worth it at the end though.

First time building with Lego

I'm new to this hobby. I always wanted to try building a Lego set. I picked out the Statue of Liberty and I'm so glad I did. As a new builder, I took my time. Love the book. It talks about the history of the statue. I learn to take my time and double check my work, making sure I didn't grab the wrong Legos. Once I was done, I was very proud of it. It's now on top of my fireplace. It's about 17 inches tall and about 2 lbs when done. I'm looking forward in building more Lego kits. Glad I found this hobby!
