YOGA 9i - Durable computer with travel flexibility

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been through a number of computer for business (Dell, VAIO, HP) and this one has been outstanding. I usually like to change brands to try new things but several years ago I purchased my first Yoga computer and I have been stuck to this one since. Great simplicity, multiple uses, powerful. For work travel it is excellent to be able to switch between the tablet and laptop modes on a plane. While the battery is internal, which I had initial concerns, with proper care and keeping conservation mode while plugged in, which is most of my daily work, my previous YOGA computer had its battery last over 6 years and it was still going strong when replaced. Hoping this one will do the same. Setting up a computer is a lot of work and computers need to last 8-10 years with full functionality. Lenovo delivers on durable computers that you replace for better technology rather than due to a last-minute hassle when your computer died and everything is a mess to deal with.

My primary criterion were great graphics and touch screen for streaming. Researched carefully and decided Yoga 14-inch OLED non-4K matched my needs. On the negative side, the accompanying/online instructions are really inadequate, and I am still trying to understand some of the Lenovo special settings. First thing I did was to remove unwanted apps - there were very few. One aggravation was that the touchpad auto click option appeared to be turned on and I had to experiment to turn off. All and all, I am very pleased and went for the extra 2 years of hardware protection post order.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little pc, fits my needs almost perfectly. Screen is crisp and clear and I'm loving the touch screen. The battery life isn't the best, but lasts around 8 hours in saver mode. I do miss having all the ports be charger ports like on my old macbook, but it's hasn't been a major issue. It's really nice to have at least one full size usb as well, no need for dongles like the macbook. I wish the speaker had a bit more bass, but it sounds pretty good after setting a custom EQ. All the default music ones are WAYYY too vocal forward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros - Gret processing & no latency, runs smooth and having 5-6 hours battery support, so far. Pen works nice. Yoga back flip works perfectly as advertised.
Could be better - On tablet mode, camera goes down at bottom nd that's annoying. Sometimes the fan makes lot of noise, hoping that doesn't worsen the performance in future. After using ThinkPad T430 last 10 years, missing the keyboard strokes in new Yoga.
So far, enjoying my new Yoga 9i.
