I bought this purifier for an older home that is coastal and on humid days has a musty smell. I have had the unit running 24/7 for a few weeks and am amazed that the smell is almost completely gone. I also do not have an exhaust hood over the stove. This unit eliminates cooking smells in a reasonable amount of time. I am extremely impressed with this purchase.
This was a replacement for the SECOND failed air purifier. Seems to work ok.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent design. Can be as powerful or as quiet as you want. Great for removing smoke from bedroom and moving air around when wildfires are present. Powerful enough for large bedroom.
This purifier has made a significant difference in my apartment! I love the control from the phone and the accurate read on the quality of air! I would definitely suggest this purifier! FYI, I live in an 800 square foot home and this is PERFECT for purifying the space quickly!
I have purchased several of these filters for home and business. I haven't had any problems along the way. They are easy to use and filter options are good.

So I just got mine. First impressions - not solid. I had sprayed a parfume right at the air sensor. For some reason the PM indicator increased a bit but in auto mode it did not turned up the fan speed. Next, I put a smoking piece of paper next to it. The PM jumped at once to maximum but in auto mode, it did not turned up the fan speed to maximum, I had to manually select the 4th speed. I suspect that with that these air sensores are indeed of pure accuracy and one should not use auto mode but select one constant fan speed at all times. On the plus side the noise is indeed low. On 1st speed it's barely hearable. In night mode it's almost silent but it barely blows any air so there is a compromise here and I think night mode is of no use if you want to effecitvely clean the air over night. I also confirm that you can hear this fan motor whine on 1st and 2nd speed but it's not annoying. On 3rd and 4th it's drowned out by the hum of the air. In auto mode when the air is clean or in night mode, you can't notice it. As for the overall noise I say that it is bearable up to 3rd speed if the device is at least 2 meters away from you. 4th speed is not that loud, not as i.e. a vaccum cleaner but it sure is annoying to the point when the comfort of watching a tv, listening to music, reading is fairly compromised.
As for the VeSync app - I had no issues with pairing. The commands are responsive hovewer I haven't tested these features which are irrelevant to me like, timer, schedules or voice control. The 'effcient' function in auto mode settings should allow to choose between imperial and metric units but in the end I suppose it's just a bell and whistle which is not any more efficient and power-economic compared to keeping the device running at one constant speed all the time.
