US EPA PM2.5 mismatch what Levoit consider air qua

I have a Core 400S in a bedroom no bigger than 215sq/ft.
According to the US EPA on air quality. 0-15µg/m³ is consider "Very Good/Good" But the unit will allow the µg/m³ to get as high as 40µg/m³ before going to Fan Speed 1. Even when it is in Fan Speed 1, it can never get it down, but maintain within that range.
They need to fix or reprogram their logic and keep the fan up high enough to bring the level down to >15µg/m³.
I have an Airthings View Plus that monitor the same room (across the room from the air purifier) to cross check.
It is only in Fan Speed 3 or Turbo where it can keep the PM2.5 level under 15µg/m³. In my particular room.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible, foul smell after a short use

The purifier continues to give off a foul, sour smell after a short time of use. I just purchased a new filter to try and resolve this issue at the end of May and by early July it was already beginning to smell this way again. Now in late July we can’t even use it anymore because it makes the room smell terrible. This seems to be a consistent problem that customers are having with Levoit’s products and they are not fixing the issues. Do not purchase this purifier. If you have already purchased the purifier don’t waste any more money on new filters and demand your money back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Blows dust

Every time I use this, after a few hours I notice dust is all over everything in my home. Instead of blowing the purifies air up and around, they should reverse direction and it should be blowing from the bottom. Either that or it just doesn’t work very well

Let's see how we can help! To get the most benefit from our air purifiers, it is recommended to place them in an enclosed room for a couple of hours. To more aggressively purify the air, try turning the unit to its highest setting. Please note that the unit is not able to pick up dust that has already landed on a surface. STILL SMELL SMOKE

I just installed the unit in our 300 sq ft bedroom. the reason for the purchase was the smell and stink of cigarettes. Nobody in our apt smokes and it is quite offensive. The air quality goes between 2 and 4 BUT THE SMOKE SMELL IS STILL THERE. Not Happy

Just purchased my first VeSync Core 400S Smart True HEPA Air Purifier, and I can tell you it will not be my last. Looked online and checked out numerous products from various manufacturers and was drawn to this product due to the reviews, Bluetooth capabilities and it looks. Set-up was simple and connected to my network with no issues. App is great and works well. Would highly recommend this product and I will be looking for future sales to purchase additional units of various models.
