The product boasts a lot of features, but pretty much falls short on them all. The "outdoor" advertising is almost comical, because the device is really pretty fragile (I'm on my 3rd one in about 2 years). The screen is NOT visible in sunlight. The charging ports sometimes work, sometimes dont, and occasionally it seems like you drain what you're trying to charge, instead of actually charging it (yes, I know there is the switch you can flip)... The AC port has an "auto-shutoff" feature, and if it doesn't think you're using enough power it will turn itself off. Unfortunately, for MOST of the mobile/outdoor devices, which are already low power, this means the AC port shuts off every few minutes. This can be DANGEROUS depending upon what you are doing; I have fried thousands of dollars worth of equipment doing firmware updates, when the AC port shuts off.
I had the previous version of this, and I LOVED them; they were incredibly tough, they did what they needed to do, and I had no issues with them over 4-5 years. The new version sadly is just kind of a joke, when it comes to replacing the older model. I really cant recommend these any more; they're just too problematic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
