Previously, when traveling internationally, I carried a heavy converter, multiple regional socket adapters, and multiple chargers. Now, with my Sherpa 100AC, I use one regional socket adapter and one charging block to charge all devices through my Sherpa. Overnight, I charge five devices using Sherpa battery power. During the day, I charge my Sherpa and computer (through the Sherpa). My Sherpa charging system has significantly reduced the weight and hassle of my prior charging system.

I bought this for weekend camping and realized that this iz great for travel. I have a flexsolar 40w flexibal solar panel and can charge this up in about 3 hours. I reallized that the Sherpa 100 AC is also allowable on airlines. Can charge my S23 ultra rapidly 4 or 5 times. Will charge an ipad twice. Have not used the ac outlet yet.Also glad that Goal zero can ship to Hawaii.

Great for travel

I use the Sherpa 100AC on business flights. It's the best! I can charge my phone, laptop, and headphones all at the same time. The wireless charging is so convenient you can leave it on your tray table and charge phones when flying no need for a mess of cables.

Needs improvement

I've gone through two of these units. The first unit the 100w USB c port stopped working less than 6 months. I exchanged for a new one. The second unit's display stopped working after 3 months. Both units were lightly used. I have the previous model that's over 5 years old and it still works great. I returned the second unit for a refund. This is the first goal zero product I've been disappointed in. I would give goal zero 5 stars for standing behind their product and replacing it while both unit had issues within the warranty period, but I won't be getting another until they release a new durable version of the Sherpa 100ac.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent! Well made, super nice with the additional neoprene case. I live off grid and do not have electricity in my bathroom. I plug my water pick into the unit and it runs it great using up almost no battery power. Great unit.

Great EDC solar battery!

I loved the Gen2 and really enjoy the improvements on the Gen3.
Great to see the solar input moved to the back! Small change big convenience impact (now the sleeve needs an update though). Happy to see a 100W USB-C now and 10W more solar input.

My typical use case is working off-grid with a laptop, mobile phone plus some gadgets. I usually attach a 60W super compact solar panel (e.g. SolarFairy fits into any backpack). This combo had shading issues on the Gen2 but those are gone with the Gen3 100AC. After a day outdoors, the 100AC is fully charged and the laptop too, so I am good to work late or watch some movie.
The display could be brighter, or it is just my model that has this issue on a sunny day outside.
