Same Issues as others

My device came a stripped screw hanging out of the back. Mine also reboots randomly, it seems Lenovo has a serious hardware issue as if you power it in another usb c port other than the one indicated for charging it seems to lessen the reboots. I'm sending mine back, its strange how all the reviewers don't have these problems but its widespread for actual purchasers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Lenovo ThinkPad Z16 AMD (16") seems to be well built and is extremely fast. I work with multiple open programs without delay in retrieving and processing data. This laptop is exactly what I needed to support my demanding work requirements. The video and sound is exceptional.

Since I purchased Thinkpad Z16 in mid-July, I have been annoyed by continued freezing and restarting. I don't recommend this machine either work or study as it might destroy your work unexpectedly. Device drivers are needed to be reconsidered.

Lenovo appreciates all feedback and thank you for taking the time to rate and review our product! We apologize for any inconvenience. We recommend running system updates on your machine, both using our Lenovo Vantage tool as well as running Windows updates.
For Lenovo Vantage Updates: 1. Launch Vantage which is already installed on your system (please search for "Vantage" on your task bar) 2. Click the “Check for System Updates" button 3. Run all BIOS/Driver updates as recommended

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this Z16 laptop seems like a nice PC; It gets 10+ hours on battery for basic tasks like reading kindle books, and YouTube. The touch screen is more useful than I thought. This Z16 is very quick, has a nice screen and it usually doesn’t get hot except when installing software and updating FW. The trackpad and keyboard are fantastic too.
I gave my Z16 “4 stars” since the box it came in was partially open and nearly falling apart; that was really strange given what it cost; it seemed like everything arrived OK, though; what was even stranger: my laptop didn’t fully shut down once after I turned it off and closed its lid; I had to call tech support (the process was very quick and I talked to very nice people) to get it back on. i.e. I had to long press the power button on the side for a minute. I think it might have been partially shut down for about two days and, yeah, that concerned me a bit given how hot it got while partially shut down. I also think the power button is too small and I wish it was incorporated into the keyboard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When Lenovo decided to bring in AMD to their high end laptop, Great, just what I've been looking for, been a long time Thinkpad customer since the days of the original T40 series up to X1 Carbon Gen 6, so naturally it's been 100% intel, now it's AMD time finally!!
Got the laptop in December and after 1 month of working noticed a few quirky things:
1) The Touch pad seems on and off in terms of touch response, cursor would be lagging and very difficult when this happens to point the cursor at the correct target
2) Still on the touch pad, the haptic feedback is also on and off, a normal press can be pleasant with the haptic response but other times when the cursor is lagging will have to really press the touch pad hard to get a haptic response....yes all the latest and greatest drivers / firmware are installed
3) It started with a fan failure, went to Lenovo Service center and took me close to 3 weeks to get a mainboard replaced, kudos to Lenovo for repairing this laptop but a mainboard failure after only 30 days? Must be a new record in the Thinkpad realm
4) Very slow boot to just get the Lenovo logo, hopefully a BIOS update can fix this.
Laptop runs hot thanks to the fan and ventilation at the bottom of the panel, almost no circulation.
Also caught one time the Laptop was super hot inside my backpack, seems like Windows modern standby kicked in, just remember, when plugged in to the wall make sure you unplug the charger first before closing the screen no matter what!! If your monitor closed and you're plugged in, open the monitor first, let the Laptop get into windows, unplug the cable then close the lid....this will prevent the Windows modern standby to kick in when you unplug the laptop while the lid is closed.
AMD Radeon does not seem to have the supported video encoder like Intel quick sync on this model so the 8 cores is rather useless to encode / decode in Handbrake / Adobe Premiere
OLED panel is beautiful, I hope it won't get burn-in, too early to tell
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
