Slim!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is awesome for so many reasons the slim design allows me to leave it on my phone at all times so I can use it as a grip and slo use it with my Mac book! It’s matte white so it goes with any case and doesn’t stick out and it looks expensive

A versatile gem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent product, very well built with materials that are very agreeable to the touch. Mounting the phone on your Macbook (tried with Air M1) is very easy and straightforward. The magsafe connection is very strong and for me the real winner is the sturdy metal ring providing a secure hold to your phone. The thin profile makes it virtually disappear when not in use. Another Belkin magsafe winner...

Works, but not if your MacBook has a shell case

Great idea, but only works on a naked MacBook. Clamshell cases prevent the use of this device. I ALWAYS put a case on my MacBook to keep it in perfect condition and to protect it - this device is useless to me. Got it directly from Apple. Wish there was a disclaimer stating this issue - I would not have purchased it if there were.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Removeable mount

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rubber coated mount has a nice feel and creates a strong magnetic hold to the bare back of an iPhone 12. The stand/fingerhold is metal and large enough to fit my fingers. One side of the mount has a pull out for a clip that allows you to sit the phone on a MacBook screen.
The magnetic action on the iPhone 12 is great but a strong bump can knock the phone off. The mount needs to be attached to the back glass and you need to avoid the use of a protective case. The mount easily twists so you can hold the camera vertically or horizontally.
You can use your phone as a webcam. I initially thought it was for facetime but my nephew showed me it works with many other applications. You can use the phones camera and microphone but there was not a clear advantage to use the mic. Landscape orientation makes a great layout for recording. You can connect to the phone wirelessly but we used a wired connection to keep it charged as we played with the features. There are a lot of settings on the computer that you can customize with the phone.
Basically, this mount holds the phone securely in a good location and allows you to make good use of it as a web cam. When your not using the laptop, the mount still lets you maintain control of the phone or prop it up when used as a mini stand. If you want a clean pocket look, you can slide the mound off quickly and put it back on when needed.
The mount really needs to be used on the newer phones the magnetic attraction on an iPhone X barely holds the weight of the phone. I also could not get the wireless charging to work with the mount on the back of the phone.

Strong but confusing

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most laptops have the camera already installed so they really would t need this mount. I tried the mount out and it was simple to use. It clips over the top of the laptop. I guess it’s cool if someone wanted to make a video and have the mount hold the phone instead of a selfie stick.
