[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iPhone Mount works great for the Continuity Cam feature of MacOS. When it was new, the magnet's hold felt very secure and the whole thing would lay flat on the back of the phone.
However, after just 4-5 months of very light use (rarely opened the ring grip), something inside it seems to have broken because the ring grip no longer lies flat and the magnetic side of the mount does not lie flush against the phone, which makes me think the magnet won't hold securely and will drop my phone 4ft to the tile floor below, which would destroy the phone.
I'm not sure how widespread the issue is, so maybe I'm the only unlucky one. I would have given it 5 stars if I had rated it in the first month or two because of how nice of a feature Continuity Cam is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cute but limited gadget

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the idea behind this product...it's amazing how much better the iPhone camera looks in a video call than the built-in webcam in the bezel. The MagSafe attachment feels rock-solid and I had no worries about my iPhone slipping off the mount while it was perched on my MacBook. My one quibble- The notch you use to hook onto the Mac is very narrow and won't fit a 'normal' external monitor. In my setup, I use a mid-tier 27 inch monitor and have the MacBook off to the side as a rarely used secondary display. I had hoped I could hook my phone onto my main display with this mount, but no such luck. It fits the fit MacBook lid and that appears to be that.

Does not hold properly

The product does not hold iPhone 14 Pro. Slips off the mount.

Great new accessory!

My Belkin MagSafe iPhone mount just arrived Dec 1st. I popped it on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and hooked on the top of my M2 MacBook Air display so that the phone's camera becomes my FaceTime/Zoom webcam. As good as my MacBook's camera is, my iPhone's camera is noticeably much better! With iOS 16 installed, the iPhone camera is easily selectable in prefs for both apps. I also like the metal ring which folds out to become either a prop or a finger ring for added security while holding the phone in my hand. I like that I can leave the mount on the phone and it still slides easily into my pocket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mount is not as great as I thought it would be. It does not stay attached as it just randomly falls off and sometimes the phone doesn't realize what's happening. Save yourself the time. I don't recommend this product.

When apple announced this product along with continuity camera I was very excited. Finally got my hands on the mount today and it isn't living up to it. The MagSafe part is pretty secure, but the mount to the top of the screen isn't very tight. Since this is built specifically for Apple iPhone and Macbook's I would've expected a tighter integration. If you don't already have a high definition webcam it's worth it, but it doesn't match the functionality of my webcam yet. However, I could see myself using this as a plan B while I'm traveling and away from my desk.

Didn’t hold my phone.
