If you're using a Napoleon cover, you don't need to worry as it's vented, allowing for better airflow around the grill and preventing humidity build-up. I apologize for the issue with your cover disintegrating; this is quite unusual since our covers are made from heavy-duty, water-resistant fabric that should not crack or develop mold. We have also made enhancements to the UV inhibitors to provide superior fade resistance. Since our Napoleon grills are outdoor appliances, the cover is intended primarily to protect against extreme weather conditions. Thanks
