We love our Träger. This is our second one now. An upgrade from our last one and loving it. It cooks so evenly and fast, leaving such a beautiful warm overall browning to our food.

Worst grill I ever had

Does not hold a constant temp. My grill that cost less than half the price as a traeger holds the temperature within 10 deg. Traeger fluctuates 50 degrees or more. I wish I could return the piece of junk

Thank you for your review. You’ll discover next-level consistency in your cooks, amazing wood-fired flavor, easy clean up, and you can customize the P.A.L. rail to create the perfect grill for you. Traeger's like your oven cook on an average. You will see slightly higher variances when cooking on low temps or using super smoke. The fluctuations is a key component in creating the smoke flavor we all love. You can learn more about this in the temperature management section of our support page, or call one of our customer service agents at 1(800)TRAEGER.

A few months in using the grill the fan motor started making loud noises. Sounds like any minute it will just burn out. The grill it self has been great.

I was initially hesitant to buy this grill but glad I did! We used to have an Ironwood 650 before it broke and we decided to upgrade to the Ironwood. We were sold on the 10-Year warranty and the upgrades which make this grill feel like it was carefully thought out. We loved our old Ironwood 650 but it was out of warranty and needed a new screen so it was gifted to a friend. I could tell right away the new Ironwood was higher quality with a high temperature seal on the lid, upgraded display, drip pan, shelf, etc. No more changing out a foil liner; just scoop the drippings down into the new ash bucket.
The grill took an hour or so to assemble but it’s straightforward. My teenager was able to follow along and help too.
My only disappointment is about the four metal leg poles: there aren’t any end caps or anything to seal the bottoms up and I’m sure wasps will eventually find a new nesting spot if I don’t grab a can of foam sealant and spray into them. I wish Traeger would have found a way to better close up or seal the bottoms of the legs.

This is a replacement for my original 15 year old Traeger and I couldn't be more happy with it. So far I have used it twice, once for a Tri-Tip roast and then a pork loin roast. Both came out juicy and flavorful while I essentially ignored them. I also appreciate the WiFi capability because I can use the app anywhere in the house to monitor and control the cook. My old bluetooth monitor worked well, but had limited range. I also hope the fact that this one is insulated will allow me to avoid having to move it in to the shade for low, slow cooking. With the old one, I had to move it out of the San Diego summer sun to keep the temperature down. Through the years I have had occasion to call Customer Service and have been pleased with their responsiveness.
When I first got my old Traeger, I smoked some ribs and served them to my neighbor. He promptly went out and bought one. Just last year he replaced his with a newer model so there are at least two happy customers.
