I am just getting into the modular building series. This was a fun build but was a little disappointed that I was missing a couple of key parts. Luckily, I have quite a few extra parts from other builds (as I am sure most people do) and was able to piece together a work around and it doesn't show in the final build. Other than that, very colorful, some interesting features and enjoyable.

Beautiful build with fantastic details

I purchased this set to build with my kids (6 and 9), who love building their own Lego sets and incorporating them into a cityscape, and this set hit every note. The build is complex and interesting without being too difficult. The details are amazing and each new element brings delight to myself and my kids. There's enough minifigs to make playing with the built set fantastic, there's stories to tell in every corner. This is the first large modular building we've bought, and I am certain it won't be the last.

Solid Build, Tiny Spaces

This was a fun build to create overall. This is my 5th modular building. It’s one of the more interesting looking builds with great color, unique facade etc. My concern was some of the interior spaces were so tight I was surprised they were built with detail in the first place. Some of the spaces here felt too cramped on the model. I loved the colors and the overall ideas throughout, it’s a great looking piece. I also didn’t like how the floors came together. The upper floors are separated from building to building, the studs that hold them together hold ok, but are easy to break the model itself when revealing the insides of you’re not careful. I haven’t had this issue with other models.
Overall it’s solid, I had fun building the pizzeria on the first floor as well as the stage for the band. The rooftop greenhouse was a clever addition as well.
The police station is probably my favorite build overall but this one still is fun in the lineup.

Well done overall

This was a fun build with unique little twists and turns along the way. I did make a couple of alterations. For example, I moved the sofa closer to the window which made room for a mic-stand for the singer. Also, I did not understand the purpose of the brown box in front of the window, so I moved it to the office and put some extra vinyl in it (which I think LEGO should have included as even the storyline in the instructions state how much the manager likes vinyl!). I also added an extra mannequin and cloth to the Taylor room as that room was lacking detail. Also, no bar and a door between the club and the pizzeria doesn't make sense so I plan to change that. It was a very pleasant surprise to not have stickers! And for the price we pay LEGO should continue that going forward. I have a lot of positives to say about LEGO but I cannot condone and/or not comment about the price/value. You have a loyal following and a captive market but you are really pushing the limit on price. So much so, that as much as I love LEGO, I have begun looking into alternatives.

Another stellar modular

Sometimes, it feels like Lego just can't miss with their modulars. The Jazz Club is no exception, adding some fun and visual flair to the already-excellent modular lineup.
I love the way the Jazz Club looks. The marquee banner is terrific, the color choices pop, and the interior details are fun (if, as others have pointed out, slightly cramped).
As with every modular, the build experience was also great. These sets are always a pure pleasure to construct.
The modulars are the centerpiece of my sprawling Lego collection, and the Jazz Club is a magnificent addition to the line-up.

Thought it would be 2 separate buildings

I did not realize I could not separate them for display like I can with the bookstore set. Also the instructions were confusing. On page 252 it showed pieces that were included in the next bag. At first I thought the pieces were missing.
I do like the set. Like the colors and the details.
