Fun build for the holidays

So, so cute!

This set is adorable! As always, LEGO knocks the little details out of the park.
As someone else said, I appreciate the smaller footprint. I've got lots of Christmas decor, and this smaller size will fit in many places.
And I can't wait to order the components to make the little go, go, go.
I did notice as I was building the toy store that I was turning the building front to back and vice versa quite a bit; seemed like unnecessary movement. And I really don't know why the Christmas tree in the apartment was placed AFTER the roof was on. I had to remove the gifts to place the tree, and then still knocked the lamp off the nightstand. Why not make and place the tree before the gifts??
Still, a great set. Can't wait to build my little village!

Best Christmas gifts - always!

We buy LEGO's for every occasion for every one we feel it is appropriate and they are always loved. We are excited about starting a LEGO Christmas Village!

Love the trolley and tree igsnay the rest.

Kudos to the Xmas trolley car and the only item I wanted out of this kit. The rest is lacking completion. At least they could have made a 2+1 set where you can make 2 store fronts like this or 1 complete store with walls and more inside. As is these buildings do not work with the Winter village, or Santa"s village

Good not great

I was super excited to finally see a trolley, however it is just a tad too big. The main body is 6 studs wide, but with the roof and steps it expands to 8 studs wide. Like the Disney train, good concept, but I wish the Lego designers had spent a bit more time to make it 6-7 studs wide. Additionally, with all the brick colors out there, tan and red just seems blah.
The buildings look good, and include some nice new pieces. But do we really need ANOTHER toy and music store? How about a proper post office, cafe, clothing, hardware, or kitchen store? My minifigures are like me - too many toys and coffee but not enough essentials... Overall its a nice set - just doesn't have the creativity of last year's Santa's Visit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is an excellent set, and a great addition to the Winter Village theme! The details are fun, and I love the trolly. Great price for the piece count, especially compared to other recent sets. I don't understand the folks complaining about this one: if you want a more challenging build, shop Technic, not family holiday decorations. This goes great with the rest of my growing village!
