Nice Under Tree Train

The set looks nice under the tree. the only draw back to powered up is runtime. I actually used a modified 9V train motor and the old metal top track with a power function lights and it ran great. About 6hrs a night 4 or 5 nights a week for a month

Just what I wanted

December is a very busy month. I wanted a simple Lego build that looked like an expensive holiday scene when completed. This kit was all that and more. It looks beautiful in my Lego winter/Christmas display. Was relaxing to build. Good price.

Not Exciting

This set did not excite me as the past Christmas Village pieces have. The build was very basic and the style of the "buildings" was way off from the previous 10 or so Holiday sets. These shallow store fronts just do not fit in with all the other buildings. Please bring back the quality buildings like the Christmas Cottage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is a fun build. Think of it and other Holiday build projects as Dickens Village for Lego overs. (For those of you who remember a family member's Dicken Village set ups all over the main rooms of their house.)
