Great Set!

Don’t be swayed by negative reviews! Rare for all those satisfied customers to get back on when they are totally happy….I just did so when i came back to get the power up accessories to move the elevator.
That said this set has some technical steps but they were no problem for my 11 year old son who assembled himself. Lots of fun and set can be played in sections as you build.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this set so much. Together with the previous roller coaster, it's an amazing combo together. There are lots of troubleshooting? Yes. It is for novice builders? No. Is this one the best sets you have ever seen? Yes.

Disappointing Experience

I bought this set for my son. We built it the week after Christmas, but it is missing 3 pieces of track. I ordered the missing pieces, but it’s been over a month and they haven’t come in yet. As such, this has provided no play value and just is taking up space. I expected more from Lego.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic feat of engineering and fun

While I was a little skeptical about this set utilizing an elevator system to raise the roller coaster, but it did not disappoint. More-so than prior coaster offerings, this set runs very reliably continuously with a motor, with the timing of the elevator's reset, train's return, and next lift cycle lining up well. (Though, I only run if for a few minutes at a time.)
It was a fun build, and for those who have loved the idea of Lego creating a modern, looping coaster... this delivers.
Now some nits: It has a fairly short track cycle for how fast the train moves, so I imagine it would be fun to purchase a second set in order to experiment with a second hill beyond the loops. And eventually, I'd like to see a modern coaster with more of a traditional lift hill design. Many of the details are spot on. Great color scheme and elements. This is the first set with a swooping-steel inspired loading platform, just as you'd expect from a coaster in this style.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Costly & Not Sturdy

For the cost of the set the motor should be included and not an additional expense. Also, after the coaster is run a few times the set gets out of line and you have to make adjustments. The connections in some areas need improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loop Coaster

The loop coaster was a great build. I’ve done many large builds (titanic, Eiffel Tower) and technical builds (Lamborghini, Ferrari), this one was so much fun! I got the motor kit and my whole family (all adults) enjoy watching the coaster run.
I would recommend this to a friend!
