Lovely experience. Center of attention at home!

Loved everything about this set, especially when compared to the previous Roller Coaster. Color scheme on point, the elevator concept is ingenuous, and the sound it makes when the carts are going through the loop.... remarkable.
Only blemish is that the elevator sometimes doesn't line up with the top of the track, and the carts get stuck. Needs some creative twisting of the elevator platform to fix the issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The previous reviews with the misalignment, parts coming loose, counterweight problems etc, are true just after you finish the build, so what I've found is that after the 'break-in' period of several runs, the so-called problems disappear. I run my coaster for ten loops, then I check for loose parts, alignment etc. Seems the parts tend to stay put after several runs, but I always check anyway. The top of the tower track misalignment becomes less after several runs. Added the motor and all runs fine, good job Lego on everything !

When I first tested this, it did not work properly. The chains got stuck and broke but after some fixing, it finally worked. It works better than ever now! Must buy!

Loop Coaster fail

Posting on behalf of my son: My name is Bobby, I’m 11 years old. The loop coaster was a complete disappointment. It took me a few days to build plus all the money I made over the summer. I was so excited to buy it, but now that it is built, there are a few malfunctions. Every single time the cars go down the vertical track, they fly right off—and that’s only when they can make it on the elevator. When the elevator goes down it can never push the red stopper, making it so the cars cannot get on the elevator; I have to manually push it down, and then when it gets to the top, the roller coaster cars cannot get off. This is a faulty design (I think this might be why I have never seen any official videos by Lego where it shows the cars actually move on the track). I have lots of Lego sets and this is the worst, and the second most expensive one I have (after Mos Eisley cantina).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of fun, some minor issues

First off, this set is such a beauty to behold. The color scheme and overall look of the ride is amazing. Some great building techniques, and amazing little details. Outside of waiting for a missing track piece to enjoy the complete ride, it is quite fun to play with.
The issues arise with the elevator. It is hard to adjust the elevator so the coaster leaves the elevator onto the track perfectly. There is a small gap which creates issues if everything is not properly calibrated. The chain has also broken a few times which is a little tedious to put back together.
Overall, an excellent set and addition to my collection of amusement park rides. As a roller coaster enthusiast, this is a must have and it did not disappoint.

Doesn’t meet the Lego standard I’m used to.

This is truly an amazing structure. The engineering involved with Lego always blows me away. The build was really fun and engaging. I finished more quickly than I’d expect, but no complaints on the build experience.
The coaster play aspect is really fun as well but this is where the issues arise. After less than a few weeks and not even using it that much the “chain” has already stretched out to the point where it doesn’t work anymore.
Further, I echo the other reviews in that you constantly need to make sure pieces don’t come loose or apart. We’re it not for the stability and product quality issues I’d give this a five star rating, even though it’s overpriced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The build book is not cut correctly

When you have a build book that was not cut correctly and you cannot see all pieces needed or where they go, it ruins the experience.
Also this set has so many missing pieces I haven’t finished it yet after purchasing when it first launched.
Not worth the price for a poor build experience.
