Great build experience poor functionality

Build experience was challenging. From tying knots, to calibrating counter weights and hooking chains in the right direction. Yet the coaster cars kept being stuck on the top and would not go down. I could not get the motorized battery pack as they were sold out. I tried using the hand crank feature. I tried going on YouTube but after spending all day to trouble shoot decided that I had enough. After spending points and cash. The defects was too much. One of the wheel on the coasters would not roll freely as well causing the coaster cars to not reach the end. The elevator would not go down unless I gently pushed it down with my hand. My recommendation is buy this coaster from Lego and build and decide writhin the 90 day period. If you are not satisfied, return. This will be my first product return to Lego. I bought the Lighthouse, Piano, Titanic, and Creator cars along with many City theme Legos. Loved them all as they functioned with no problems. I lost 26 hours building and troubleshooting this Loop coaster set.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Super-fun to build and play

A surprisingly easy build, but very gratifying. I only ran into trouble with the elevator car stalling about halfway down on its return trip, but after tinkering here and there it works perfectly. The build was never tedious and often great fun. One of my favorites.

Amazing build

This was an amazing build and so very much enjoyed it. As other reviewers have stated, there can be issues with getting the coaster to depart from the track correctly at the top, but after an hour or so of tinkering I was able to get it to work. Honestly it made the build more enjoyable as i was able to extend the time it took to build. Tinkering with the counterweight and making sure everything was fully tight ultimately did the trick. This is an incredibly advanced Lego so you should expect to be an advanced builder, otherwise, you may be frustrated like the others that are giving this a bad review. 5 stars no doubt about it.

What an awesome build! Went to the Lego store just to browse and buy something small. However, this item has been on my to do list for about a year and every time I would see the item in the store I would check it out. Had an associate talk to me a little bit more about the product and after that I was sold on it. Built it in about 5 days. The only thing that was a little tricky was the elevator. Sometimes it’ll get stuck half way down but with some minor adjustments it was working perfectly smooth. Would love to see more roller coaster builds in the future. I would definitely recommend this one.

Great coaster

Love it. The build was fun. Having same issue at the top of lift like others...still trying to line it up correctly. Many figures and easily combine with other fair type sets.

Best LEGO Set EVER!!!

I love this set. The way they got everything to look how it looks, and how the even got the elevator to reset after it brings the coaster up is amazing beyond what I could think of. I would recommend this set 100/10 to everyone, it's just a wonderful showpiece and seeing it work is just as amazing. The yellow track really compliments the dark blue structure. I even made a video about this set with my brother on YouTube, and it's our most popular video on the channel. I love buying LEGO sets and look forward to buying more from them in the future.
