Bad Quality Kettle

The quality of this grill falls short. The legs are very wobbly and the metal is thin compared to my other kettle grill. This is a 2 year grill at best.

Perfect doneness

I bought my Kettleman Tru Infrared about a year and a half with some doubts about it in my mind, however since the first meat that i roasted (Picanha by the way), the doneness was perfect,my family, guests and myself where impressed by the flavor and the tenderness, i myself was more impressed by the little amount of charcoal needed, the easyness to cook and the shorter time it takes to roast than my previous grill. I use my Kettleman at least once a week, i keep it cover under a roof and it looks like brand new. I am very happy about it. Excellent GRILL
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst Grate Ever

The Tru-Infrared Grate is a MotherF*%&$er to clear! I've spent almost 4 hours trying to clean it, with every method known to man, and it still was not clean. Compared to an old simple grate that you just scrape off once it's hot, before grilling. But this.. A Total Nightmare!

The Best Kettle Grill I Have Ever Used !!!

Assembly was very easy. Starting from top to bottom. The lid stays up on its own once opened. Very convenient when attending to your meat and veggies. There is a built in temperature gauge which helps you have more control of what you are grilling.Once the lid is closed you can keep it closed with the locking clip near the handle. There is a single vent on top of the lid for temperature control. This works very well. But unlike conventional kettle grills when the vent is closed it gets hotter and open cooler. This makes it very easy to control the proper temperature. There are 2 grates. The tru-infrared grate which makes the heat even over the entire grill. It also doesn't get any flare-ups. It is very heavy duty and should last a long time. I've had mine for several years. There is a second grate for the coals. The way this grill is designed you use less coals and they last longer. Once the coals become ash it is very easy to clean. There is a ash pan that simple pulls out and then you dump it. The opening on the bottom of the grill is about the same size as the ash pan which makes clean up a breeze. Just brush it into the pan then slide the pan out and empty it. It doesn't get easier than that. There is a rack connected to the 3 legs that can hold charcoal, chimney and tools or anything else. It does have wheels for ease of moving. Cooking and smoking on the kettleman is easy and makes everyone a pro. Give it a try if you like ease of use and great tasting food. Don't waste your time on other brands and go straight to the CHARBROIL KETTLEMAN TRU-INFRARED CHARCOAL GRILL!!! You won't be disappointed.

Poor design

The tripod legs are weak, way to wobbly. Very difficult to keep the temperature from climbing with all the vent holes. The grate where the coals set is to close to the cooking surface whic( makes direct heat grilling very hard.
I received mine as a gift so I am trying hard to be polite and keep using it.

I'm glad I kept my Weber grill

The worst grill I have used. Steaks and hamburger had a burnt taste. Chicken breast took a hour and half to cook which is about 45 minutes to long and were tough. Still meat temp was 150°.Grill grate is hard to clean. No way to close air flow to stop fire when finished. Will go back to Weber grill. Also can't use lump charcoal grate is to big.

Terrible Quality

We bought this grill a year ago, it has never stood up correctly, it is wobbly and leans backwards. Today it totally fell apart and is now a heap in my yard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best grille on the market! Safer than gas and no smell from charcoal. Quick Start up and even cooking.
