Excellent heat dispersion

Bought this a month ago and have grilling almost every day. You can use half the charcoal of other grills and still have enough heat. Last night, for example, I started the charcoal at around 11:00am and at 6:00 pm way after being finished I still had enough heat to keep cooking if I wanted. Great Grill for the price.

This product cooks evenly! Perfect steaks, burgers, veggies, etc. The charcoal cooks slower than most. I'm very pleased to see the that the ash pan is larger than usual, also. I can even do beer can chicken and entire hens! Love this product. For all people that claim this product is wobbly, get out a wrench and tighten them! We are using it again, soon for hurricane Matthew. Scared for the hurricane, excited for the grill. lol
I would recommend this to a friend!

Down-sized to the Kettleman; Awesome Grill!

For years, I'd smoked all types of meat -- pork butts, chicken breast & wings, burgers & steaks, ribs, etc. -- on a offset barrel type grill... Based on the recommendation of a friend, I picked up the Kettleman to down-size my smoking/grilling activities & free up space on my carport... So far, I've been very tickled with the Kettleman; I've never been a big fan of kettle style grills because I've seen all the flare-ups & crazy temperature issues others have experienced... This Kettleman grill appears to have dialed all that out & works great, except -- it works the OPPOSITE of my old barrel grill; to cool the grill, you open the vents; to heat up the grill, you close the vents; once I learned this little trick, I've made burgers, chicken, & pork butts that my family is saying is the best I've ever made! The snake method (2 briquettes per row) this past weekend smoked a 4# butt for 6 hours perfectly, holding the temp right at 200 degrees the whole time... I tried different types of ways to add hickory wood for smoke & have settled on the chopped/chipped hickory in the plastic bags at grocery stores or sporting goods places (ie Academy)... You can add these on top of the charcoal on your snake (go light) or put it on the grill surface every so often... I mostly smoke just about everything I make, but now with the Kettleman I have the option to grill quickly, which is a huge plus. All in all, I'm very pleased with this product, and I've bought a cover for it, keep it out of the elements, and hope to have it a very long time... Anybody that grills/smokes, I'm telling them about the Kettleman!

Truly Amazing Grill

Set up was so simple. I was adding charcoal in less than a half hour. I've used it 12 times and still on the same back of charcoal. Cooked Strips, Burgers, Chicken Breast, Fish, Italian Sausage, Veggies..and more. Easy to use, less charcoal, better control, clean up is the best I've ever seen...This really is an amazing grill and for the money it's a no brainer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The cooking grate rusts through.

I bought a Kettleman in September 2016, and by March 2020 such a large area of the grate had rusted through that I had to order a new grate. I was very careful with the second grate. The only utensil I used to clean it was the orange plastic Char-Broil brush. I also used CitruSafe Lemon Scent BBQ Grill Cleaner spray. But the second grate rusted through anyway - I think the porcelain coating started to come off the first time I cleaned. I could live with the porcelain coming off if the metal underneath the porcelain was rust-proof. Now after 3 years I need another grate again. (The rest of the grill is holding up well.)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Heavy Duty, No Flare Ups, Grilling made easy!

Bought this a month ago and so glad I did. Has a real nice heavy duty construction especially the cooking great. Everything cooks evenly with no flare ups. Perfect Grill marks everytime. The only thing I wish this had is a warming rack, that would make this grill perfect. Never has grilling been so easy!

To sum this grill up in a single word I would use AWESOME. This grill cooks very nice and even no hot or cold spots to worry about. The way the grate is made leaves some really beautiful grill marks on your steaks and other meats. My charcoal use has also been cut in half. The only negative I have is that there is a small lip around the ash catch tray that holds alot of your charcoal ash but I just got a 3 inch paint brush for a buck and it cleans the ash right off. If your a charcoal person I recommend this grill.

Great Grill And The Best Customer Service!

I bought this prior to Memorial day and was impressed with the price and the packaging. Setup was easy for one person, and I have grilled and smoked many times in a few short weeks. Temps are consistent, searing is amazing, food is moist, and I am getting 7 hours of 250 deg burns using charcoal in the snake method as described in the manual. I have smoked 24 lbs of pork in 3 sessions all to great satisfaction. Additionally a few small concerns I had were handled by customer service in amazing speed with what I consider above and beyond service. I have owned 4 Charbroil grills, this is the best charcoal grill I have ever owned, and the only brand I would ever consider purchasing. Keep up the quality products and the quality customer service, it is appreciated!
