Good grill ....easy to use.....uses less charcoal

Good product, great when used property. Read the included instructions on use, I've used this for 3or4 seasons, stored it outside with no cover and just now having to replace grate. Have no issues at all. All grates will rust after being used a while, some quickly, some not. Used kettle grills always until I bought this on on sale. More issues with those than this, used to replace those annually or biannually at best.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Recently received kettleman charcoal grill as wedding gift Hands down it's my favorite grill that have ever used It cooked so evenly And the charcoal smoked flavor was awesome I highly recommend this if you're looking for just a regular charcoal grill Temperature stays great,food taste great and cooks evenly!

Kettleman is an Excellent choice

First off, the quality is tremendous, especially looking at the price point. I think this unit has the same quality in terms of gauge and setup as my Webers. In no way is this a two year grill = look after it and it will LAST. The features are what attracted me. The highest value being the fact it is MUCH less susceptible to wind, with ashes spreading. Second, it uses half the coals I used prior. Third, it cleans up so easily. ZERO comparison to the Weber one-touch cleaning system. Nothing to sweep = it all falls in the pan. Lastly, I've never cooked more juicier product = I'm still trying to figure out why as it honestly works upside down compared to what I'm used to. IE: close the lid for heat, open to cool. But it works. :-) One thing I can definitely share, you need to be conscious of how much charcoal you load as if you use what you are use to, it will run hot. Dial it in, go against instinct and this is a truly wonderful setup that I think, imho, is the best charcoal/grill smoker at this price point. Really well done Char Broil.
PS: Better cover option please = high end as this grill is built to that standard.

I love the this grill. Too bad they don’t make it in a bigger size. I have used it to grill and smoke. I occasionally get flare ups, but I strongly believe it has to do with they cut of meat that is being used (the more fat the meat has, the more flare ups will be produced). I followed the directions on the amount of briquettes needed to do the job done right. Due to the amount of food being grilled, more briquettes get added as the fire starts to go down. Temperature is very constant when I used it to smoke. I have also grilled vegetables and baked pizzas. The only complaints I have is that the enamel has started to come off from the grill grate. Will have to send it back to the company since it is still under warranty. Also, the nuts that secure the legs to the grill tend to come loose from all the heat. I have to constantly tighten them as I am afraid the grill will collapse and I would hate to ruin all the meat. Other than these issues, grill works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this grill about 6 weeks ago and having a ball cooking with it. Have not used charcoal in years so it takes some practice. "Beer can" chicken is the best. Great for searing, but much quicker cooking time for steaks and burgers. Have not tried fish yet. Easy to clean. Did not realize how much I missed the flavor and aroma of real charcoal and smoking chips!

Not very happy with this purchase, after one use, the porcelain coating on the cooking grate blistered and now chipping off making it unusable and legs not very strong. On a plus note cooked very well as advertised

I have 4 grills, 3 charcoal and 1 propane. I also have a large commercial smoker, so obviously I cook a lot. This grill is awesome. Everytime I use it I tell my wife how much I love it. Part of that is so I can buy another one down the road, but that's another story. I mostly use it for cooking steaks, salmon, chicken, burgers, and brats and for that it's perfect. I also put bacon wrapped shrimp directly on the grill.
Clean up takes a little longer. I use a scouring pad with dawn and warm water and rinse with a hose. I can clean it while the charcoal is firing up. Other than that, it's a perfect grill.

I love the infrared line. I own 3 of your Infrared Grills. This one not as excited about as the ones that use Propane. Couldn't really regulate the temps on this one as I can my other Charcoal grills. The claim is no flair ups, I experienced several. It actually got to a point where I would only use this grill to help with some wood smoke flavor on briskets and ribs, then transfer them to my Wood Pellet Smoker to finish the job. I was given this grill as a birthday gift from my Girlfriend in August of 2016. Not sure exactly what happened, but the grill fell apart in June of 2017, the legs broke right off. With the troubles I had with this one, I just tossed it out instead of trying to rebuild. I wish that this grill had the same Grill Grates as the Infrared Professional series does. I don't ever have a problem with flair ups on that grill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
