Love the look of this grill, the grill is however heavier than I think a travel grill should be.

Grill surface after seasoning and using 1x

this is what my grill top looked like after using it to cook marinated ribs that had soy and brown sugar in it. Seasoned it 5x according to instruction booklet and used avacado oil to cook with. I tried to clean using several methods I found on UTUBE. Still couldn’t get black ridges off and now it has white lines in an x pattern across grill top. Bought store floor model. Is it possible this grill is defective? Anything I can do?

During our griddle manufacturing process, we weld reinforcing bars to the bottom of the griddle tops to prevent warping. Sometimes, there is a little discoloration on the top of the griddle where these tack welds are made. This is completely normal. As you season your griddle top, those weld marks will be covered in your seasoning, and given time, you won’t be able to see them.
