So far its pretty awesome. It does have a few hotter spots but nothing I can't get used to. Look forward to taking it camping.

Great way to cook

I just recently purchased my own blackstone and it has not failed to disappoint! The ease of portability and size makes it the perfect tool for tailgates, camping or just backyard use if you don’t need something too big

Only used once.

It worked great over 4th of July weekend when my son used it to cook smash burgers. He has one. He cleaned it after use but I just opened it and it looks horrible. The griddle looks completely oxidized.

Blackstone's griddle tops are uncoated steel. Rust can naturally occur on the cook top if it is exposed to oxygen and water. Properly seasoning a cook top necessary to prevent rust. If the cook top is rusted you can try out these steps that we have found helpful and that we provide to customers if they have this rust happening.

Step One. Preheat the griddle top. This will loosen the debris and particles and make it easier to remove any rust. Then, turn off the burners.

Step Two. Scrape all the damaged areas with a heavy scraper to remove surface rust and chipped seasoning.

Step Three. When no more debris is coming off by scraping, add food-grade cooking oil to the griddle surface and scrub at the rusted areas with a griddle stone or steel wool. The oil will attach to the oil and pull it away from the cooking surface.

Step Four. When the oil gets too dirty, wipe it away with a paper towel and add more oil. Continue until no more rust is in the griddle surface.

Step Five. Clean the griddle surface with water and a paper towel, then reseason.
