I have trouble sleeping so I am very particular about the firmness and overall quality of my mattress.
In the last 1.5 years, I've tried a few different mattress brands: - Helix Sunset (very soft and I did not like the sinking-into-the-mattress feeling) - Helix Midnight (way too firm and especially painful on my side) - Nolah Original 10" mattress (softer than the Helix Midnight but not supportive and soft enough) - Amazon memory foam brand (soft but itchy due to the fiber glass)
I'm happy to end my year long mattress search because the Tuft and Needle Mint Mattress is the best fit for me! I am petite (5'0" and 100 lbs) and a combination sleeper (back and side sleeper, mostly a side sleeper)
Pros: - PERFECT balance of soft and firm - Feel supported and hugged by the memory foam instead of sinking and getting stuck to the mattress - Comfortable for side and back sleeping, no pressure in shoulders or hips - No more tossing and turning in the middle of the night - No more pain or stiff neck and sore body when I wake up in the morning! - Soft gray cover
Cons: - Mattress was 1-2 inches too wide for my old bed frame so I decided to buy a different bed frame that would fit this mattress. - Mattress is larger and taller than anticipated (my own fault since I didn't check the dimensions beforehand but it's okay because everything worked out!)
We recently bought a Tuft and Needle mattress after my parents raved about theirs. We love it. Seriously, when we travel all we can think about is coming home and laying on our mattress. I could not recommend it more!
We own the Mint Mattress in the King size. In the first year the mattress was comfortable, by the 2nd year we were both starting to have pains here and there with much less sleep. Here we are in year 3, and the support is completely gone. Edges of the bed give so much you feel like you're sleeping at an angle. No sleep position feels comfortable anymore - back, arms, shoulders.. all in pain with constant tossing/turning. We've moved to sleeping on our couch until a new mattress from a different manufacturer arrives. Definitely not worth the money unless you enjoy buying a new mattress every other year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband has horrible back problems. He has spinal stenosis and 6 herniated discs. He loves this mattress. He said it is the most comfortable bed he has ever had.
This is my second T&N mattress purchased in seven years, The first had a five-year warranty and lasted a little longer than that before the edges began to break down and the sleeping area became a bit lumpy, I really didn't expect it last that long. The new Mint mattress has a ten-year warranty and it will be interesting to see how it holds up.
A good experience with my previous T&N mattress led me to buy the upgraded king Mint as a replacement. It arrived in just a few days without issues.
Unboxing and placing the mattress on a platform took some effort because of the 100-pound bulk. It was ready for a great night's sleep after expanding and stabilizing for a couple of hours. The edges feel significantly more supportive than my prior mattress, although I have learned not to sit directly on the edge. I am looking forward to seeing how well the graphite and cooling gel work as I can be a warm sleeper.
Overall, I can recommend the Mint kingsize mattress.
