I sat on this purchase for a pretty long time, about 6 months or so. I've read good things about Tuft & Needle and I have one of their pillows that I love, but its such a large purchase for a bed (especially without being able to try it out first). This is also the first memory foam mattress coming from a spring mattress. I can now say having had it for about 2 months that this was a worthwhile purchase. The bed is incredibly comfortable and I love the way you gradually sink into it. I have definitely been getting better sleep with this new mattress. Highly recommend!

This is like sleeping on a cloud but with enough structure to not kill your back. I toss and turn and it doesn’t bother my husband anymore. It’s heaven.

Got softer after about a year to the point it was excessively soft and caused back pain

I do not think the foam is very high quality, it wears out super fast. It also seems to be softer when the weather is hotter vs. colder.. which is not something I want in a mattress. I obviously only noticed these things after about a year. Replaced with a hybrid coil/latex mattress instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
