I purchased my former mattress as a "deal" arranged by a friend. While the cost monetarily was good, the cost to my back was not. It was too firm. Over the last 7 years it has become more and more a source of discomfort. At night my shoulders would feel pinched and often my hands would go numb. I would wake up with lower back pain that was getting worse and worse. The FIRST night I slept on my Tuft bed that all disappeared. I don't toss and turn. I have woke up each morning feeling better than the day before. At times I don't even want to get out of bed. I wish I had done this years ago.

This is my first real mattress so I don't really have anything to compare. For the last 40 years I've been sleeping on a (heated) waterbed mattress. I do miss the heat during the winter when changing positions on this mattress. But it will most likely feel better during the summer months.

This mattress is amazing! I suffer from lower back pain which caused me not to get enough rest. I am now able to sleep through the night.

It felt “right” from the first night on. Two weeks later, it feels the same, that is, supportive and comfortable. We owned
a Tempur-pedic prior to the Tuft and Needle and this mattress felt better from day one! Fantastic product!!!

I mean, it is a mattress pad. I recommend the bed, but the pad in general doesn't seem different than any other pad.
