Back pain horror

I'm a female of avg. height and weight, 40 YO. My sister bought this mattress for me to use while visiting her. I've been sleeping on it for a week now, and it is killing my back. My lower back hurts, my shoulders hurt, my upper back hurts, and last night my joints started hurting too. I've slept on plenty of horrible hotel/motel mattresses because I travel a lot, and most don't hurt me like this. This thing is WAY overpriced and will GIVE you pain you never had before. I'm going to see if my sister will agree to return or get rid of it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there! Thank you for your candid feedback, we're sorry to hear the T&N Mint Mattress causes you discomfort. Since we make our mattresses with freshly poured foam, it can take a couple of weeks for the mattress to acclimate to its new home, and you to it. If it feels too firm, adding a topper can be an easy and effective solution to help you sleep your best. Of course, we don't want you to feel stuck with something you don't love, so have your sister reach out to 877-842-2586 or support@tuftandneedle.com if you haven't already, and the team can guide you from there! Thanks again for sharing your experience, let us know if we can assist moving forward!

Originally purchased the queen size four years ago most recently purchased it in the king size. This is a little firmer then the one bought previously but is a still a great sleep.
After months and months of research, and shopping countless showrooms and vendors I finally pulled the trigger on a queen Tuft and Needle mint mattress. Delivery and unboxing was as easy as it could be and we slept on the mattress the very night we unboxed it. Both my wife and I have different sleeping preferences, so finding the right fit (soft enough for her - 5 feet/115 lbs. and firm enough for me 6'1"/250 lbs.) was a HUGE challenge! Let me just state for the record that this mattress is VERY good quality and VERY comfortable! After a few days I thought possibly the mattress was too firm and the company was good enough to send me a topper at no charge to try. The mattress did eventually soften up to the point that the topper was not needed. The only caveat for us was that I sleep EXTREMELY hot and this mattress was a HUGE let down in that regard. Ultimately we needed to initiate a return/refund. To be fair to Tuft and Needle, the salesperson in the store (Glendale location) had suggested that we purchase the Mint Hybrid mattress but we both were comfortable on the Mint so in order to save money we went with our first choice. In retrospect, I wish I would have listened to the recommendation as I believe then the issue of heat would probably NOT have been a problem with the Mint hybrid. This mattress is fairly expensive for an all-foam mattress. However, it is a quality product that is well made. Dealing with the company as a whole was outstanding! I highly recommend Tuft and Needle and their products in spite of the fact that the mattress did not work for us...
