Purchasing a mattress during a pandemic was tricky. Our mattress was about 10 years old and while I still found it comfy, my husbands back pain was getting progressively worse each morning. Visiting a store and trying out mattresses was off the table due to state restrictions during a stay at home order. I knew a friend that had gotten a “mattress in a box” and I asked her what brand and if she recommended it. She told me about Tuft & Needle and that she loved her mattress.
I did a little research, read reviews and scoured the return policy for any loopholes. Once satisfied, I ordered my Queen Mint mattress. (Not twin.)
I can’t remember if I ordered on a Saturday or Sunday, but it was here on Wednesday. We followed the unpacking instructions and watched with some shock and awe at the “inflating” mattress. It was ready to sleep on within about 1-2 hours. It was firmer than we were used to but we wanted to give it a fair shake.
My husband reported less pain the very first morning. Within a few weeks, no more pain in the morning at all. While I also found it comfortable, it was still a little too firm for me. Here is where customer service came in. I wrote them, explaining that it was very comfortable but I was finding it a little too firm. Not only did they respond quickly, they responded in a very friendly manner, made several suggestions, and reminded me that we were still in the return period if we wanted to return it. I opted for one of their suggestions, the mattress topper and it was shipped immediately. I can say that it added just the right amount of cushion for me and my husband continues to find it works great for him.

Very comfortable answer really easy to get comfy on! Once you have a mattress protector it’s not nearly as cool and gets a bit warm but still cooler than my old spring mattress

We had a memory foam mattress that was starting to cave in. The Mint mattress is not memory foam, but we were intrigued by their proprietary foam and decided to give it a try. The mattress was well made, odorless, and we liked how stable the edges were. But unfortunately the mattress was too firm for us. We couldn't get use to it and it was causing neck and back pain. Sadly, we had to contact customer service for a return. Their customer service is top notch! Extremely pleasant, accommodating, easy, and prompt! Even though it didn't work out for us, we still highly recommend this company. They truly stand by their product. However, if you enjoy the feel of memory foam then this mattress may not be for you.
