I like the "slow sink" of the surface when I lie down, removing pressure from my hip joint. I do wish the mattress weren't quite so thick. Could the same effect not be achieved with a 10-inch-thick mattress?

They are all great quality- from the mattresses to the sheets. I also love the simplicity of the product offerings. No one needs hundreds of options, just a few really great ones.
