After my spouse developed neck and back pain, and I started developing hip pain, we decided it was time to change.
After a comprehensive review of several mattresses from a friend's thorough analysis and feedback from individuals on social media, Consumer Reports reviews, and the website Sleep Like The Dead, and both of us being side sleepers, we decided to try the Tuft and Needle Mint. At first, I felt the mattress was too soft and I had made a grievous error despite the Mint being marketed for side sleepers. Yet it resolved all our pains and we sleeping more comfortably than we have in ages. As a bonus, my wife doesn't feel me get out of bed at 5:15AM or 5:45AM when I go to work 12-14.5 hours at a vaccine POD and walk 5-11 miles a day in my work.
I would have been willing to spend twice as much for a mattress that functioned so well. We love it. My only regret was that I did not record the expanding of the mattress when I opened it up (it's fun to watch!). I have no constructive criticism at this time.

I have completed three nights of sleep on my new "Mint" mattress from Tuft & Needle. While ordinarily I do not sleep well on a strange mattress or bed, I slept as well as or better than on my old mattress from the very first night, and my experience continues to improve with each night. It provides more and better support than my old inner-spring mattress, and feels more substantial. There has been some chemical smell from the 'outgassing' but it was only a significant issue on the first evening and is rapidly dissipating. The delivery and installation was professional and trouble-free (I opted for 'white-glove' treatment as I would have had difficulty maneuvering the mattress by myself). Overall, this is a very strong start to what I hope will be a long and restful experience. My sole complaint is that it does not actually smell like mint-- not that I really expected it to!
