Right out of the box on the first night, we slept very well. We were warm without being hot. With previous memory foam mattresses, I was told there was a "break-in" period of adjustment before the bed softened and you became adjusted to it, however that was not the case with this. It was just the right combination of softness and firmness right out of the box. Additionally, I know some users have reported a lingering chemical smell but I did not experience this. Definitely worth every penny.

This is not a true California King size. It is at least four inches narrower. It is pretty comfortable, but I have ordered a memory foam to soften it up.

The tuft and needle mint mattress is what dreams are made of. It’s our second mattress from these guys. This one is a new and improved for us. Quality comfort at an amazing price point. Sleep never felt so good!

After hours of internet mattress review searches I finally looked into Tuft&Needle because my sister and her partner swear by their Mint mattress. Both are side/back sleepers (as well as myself) and after reading all the great reviews on the mint I had good faith that I had finally found "the one". I was very excited to receive my mattress via fed ex and had no issues with it expanding or airing it out. I didn't notice any terrible factory smell which is a plus for me because i'm sensitive to smells. That being said, my mattress is extremely firm to the point of pain as if you've spent the night sleeping on a hard wood floor. I'm nearly three weeks in now and wake up every morning with sharp pains in my lower back. I want this mattress to work for me because one: it's pricey. If i'm going to drop over a thou on a mattress I want to feel like i'm sleeping on a dream and wake up pain-free. Second: It seems like a hassle to return...I'm going to give it another couple of weeks but as of right now it's seeming like I will unfortunately have to return it and begin my dream mattress search once again. :'(
