The mattress market has completely changed since the last time I bought one and I was totally overwhelmed by all of the different options. I knew I wanted to switch to a foam mattress after having a spring mattress for years that squeaked to no end. But the foam mattress options are endless! I settled on Tuft & Needle after being recommended by a couple of friends and reading the Wirecutter and Sleep Foundation reviews. The main selling point was that it seemed to be good for couples - my partner and I constantly wake each other up with our movements throughout the night - our whole bed would shake if one of us shifted positions. We've had our Tuft & Needle Mint Mattress for almost 1 month and are in love so far! At first I was nervous that it felt WAY too soft, but I think that's just because foam mattresses are new to me. It is soft but you still feel really supported. I never wake up when my partner gets up or moves around. Very happy with the decision and highly recommend!
A Fine Product but Not a Miracle Cure for My Back Pain

Reading so many reviews where this mattress "cured" back pain, I was truly hoping for a miracle. We had owned a very nice Sealy hybrid that was only eight years old, but I always felt that the upper layer was just a bit too soft and that it slept "hot." Well, the Mint is clearly a bit firmer at surface than the Sealy as I had hoped, but that did not result in any miraculous cures of my chronic pain. Nevertheless, it does appear to sleep a bit cooler than the Sealy because I am not so deeply ensconced in that upper layer, and I find it easier to change positions because of that also. Finally, I will note that the edges and corners are a bit firmer and retain their shape better when weight is concentrated there. Overall, this is a fine product and a reasonable good value when compared to the countless offerings in this space.
