Decent mattress so far

We purchased this mattress for our daughter. She seems to like it just fine but wanted to express my confusion with the zipper for the grey mattress cover. If it is not supposed to be removed when soiled, I would suggest not putting a broken zipper on it. It is in fact a waterproof cover but they don't want you to take it off if/when it gets dirty. I was so confused when part of it got wet and I tried to remove it to find the zipper didn't work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The mattress cover is not waterproof and it is not designed to be removed. The zipper is solely on the cover for ease during the manufacturing process. That said, we do sell a separate protector that goes on the mattress like a fitted sheet and can be taken off and washed as often as needed. Using a protector is a great way to keep the mattress safe from any spills, stains, or unexpected accidents.
