I had hoped the odor of the mattress would subside within 3 days to a week.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am able to sheep on my back for the first time since age 21. I’m 87. No more deep quilting to bother my feet or stop me from falling asleep. This is the best mattress I have ever had.
We wanted to like this mattress a lot. It looks nice, is plenty thick, and seems uniform in resilience across the sleeping surface. However, for me it proved too firm. I'm a side sleeper, and I had some soreness problems with my shoulders and hips, seemingly because the mattress didn't give enough. The purchase and installation of a 1.5" memory foam topper seems to have dealt with that problem but I regret the Mint wasn't great without help. We've slept on foam mattresses for almost 60 years, and those mattresses have always sat on a solid wood surface, never a box spring. No doubt I'm not as resilient as I used to be, but we discarded a 3 year old Casper in hopes of a more satisfying mattress with this T&N purchase. The Casper was disappointing, but the 10 year old Verlo Temperpedic imitation we had before it served us well without any issues other than those attributable to aging.
The only thing holding this back from a five star rating is how incredibly hot the mattress is. I had to buy a cooling mattress topper to put on it in order to sleep comfortably. Otherwise, the mattress is very comfortable.
