Soft but supportive. I usually go for a firm matress as it helps with my back issues more than a soft, plush mattress. This bed splits the difference, soft but supportive so my back, shoulders, and hips all wake up feeling happy.

While the top layer of foam is super soft, the base layer seems very hard. In Fact, it feels much harder than the regular mattress. Is the base layer of the Mint mattress supposed to be harder than the base layer of the regular mattress?

Arrived quickly and needed very little airing out. It is good value and comfortable although not quite as cozy as our old (too old) Tempurpedic - However I think this is a matter of individual preference. I wish it was a tad softer for my hips - my husband doesn't mind the firmness. If you like a med-firm mattress I recommend it. The material is very nice. It is not a cool as I hoped on warm nights - but it is winter so we shall see! We like it better than the Casper purchased for a guest room.
