Awesome mattress. Great customer service I’m side sleeper and it’s firmness is good. I added a working box spring. That seems to make it a little more contouring and makes it a perfect 10 for sleep

Mattress Arrived Deformed

Our new Tuft and Needle Mint Mattress arrived with the shrink wrap not entirely in place. The mattress was deformed significantly upon unboxing, with one side approximately two inches higher than the other, noticeable pinching of the foam at some edges, and bulging from the sides. We allowed 24 hours before sleeping on the mattress. After full expansion, while the mattress "filled out"--there were still noticeable bulges and deformities in the foam. We learned that this was not an uncommon issue with the Mint (see review of Mint mattress on Plumeria Bay website). Like the Plumeria Bay reviewer we encountered no such issues with the excellent Tuft and Needle original mattress in our spare bedroom. Additionally, the off gassing smell was still noticeable with the Mint mattress even several days after sleeping on it. The reason for a two rather than a one star rating is the stellar customer service. There were absolutely no problems in obtaining a refund; and Tuft and Needle gave us the option of giving the mattress to a neighbor (with documentation) when no charities in our area would take the new mattress as a donation. Additionally, the mattress itself was reasonably comfortable in the week we slept on it before giving it away, with a medium firm feel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
