I'm accustomed to memory foam/gel pillows. They tend to "give" but stay firm enough to feel supported. These pillows are a bit softer than I thought they would be (judging from the photos on the site). I was able to get used to the way they form around my head and I've found that if I "scoot" the pillow a little lower, I get a little boost of support with my shoulders also on the pillow.

I'm so glad my pillow is a set of because now my cat and I don't have to fight over the better pillow. The neck support is outstanding but is not as hard as an orthopedic pillow so my jaw doesn't get misaligned overnight.
