We have a pretty firm bed that's about 3 years old and I bought this topper because it's just too firm. It helps give the bed a softer feel, but I was hoping for it to be even softer. The topper does help with aches and pains a little bit, too, so it's a good indication that soon we will need a new mattress entirely. The topper was delivered quickly and the box was easy to unpack. We unrolled the topper and let it air out in the basement for a few days - the smell wasn't terrible, I just wanted it to dissipate before using it. I think this was a good investment for us. The one thing I wish is that the topper had some sort of way of being strapped to the mattress, since it can slide around a little bit if your sheets aren't deep enough to fit around the mattress and topper (not all of mine are).

It’s the perfect amount of additional softness you need if you think the Tuft and Needle mint mattress is just a little too firm for you.
If you’re getting this for another mattress Id probably get a thicker one. The 2” gives you just a bit of weak plush, which is great for the mint as I wanted to keep its support but add just a bit of soft to relieve pressure points.

This topper is very comfortable. It’s like laying on a fluffy cloud. Having said that, it does not match the dimensions of my mattress and constantly needs adjusted for sliding off the side.
