I chose 8 simply because I do enjoy the comfort and rest that I get from a night's sleep on it with the 2"topper. That being said, when a topper is shipped with the bed, it should come with a non-slip pad to go in between the mattress and topper. It's a bit annoying to have to adjust and realign the topper on the mattress every morning.

I was already. But now that I am using a righting gripper to prevent topper slippage, I will even more.

too hard, too firm not worth the price another inch or two of the proprietary foam on top is necessary

Great addition to base mattress (except it slides a bit...)

Great topper for their regular mattress. Wasn't sure which to get, so I got the base knowing I could add the topper. Mattress seemed hard the first week, then grew ok, but still need more cushion for side sleeper. Added this and sleeping great. Only draw back is the need to reposition it every week from moving on the mattress....
