Not bad, but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So as a mower, it's pretty good. Be prepared to buy new tires (stock are slippery) and new blades (stock are soft steel). Quick to drive around, it's a little sloppy in its turns compared to a gas mower but it's minor.
My BIGGEST, massive complaint is that you can't plug it in to charge it. It's really comically dumb having to haul six batteries back and forth. I have a car charger, this mower should have port to charge off of that OR at least a slow charge off a regular receptacle. Either buy the more expensive mower that plugs in or a different brand.
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective

Hello Samael.
We are glad to hear you find the mower performs well overall and appreciate the feedback on steering and accessories. For the concerns you raised, there are a few points that may help improve day-to-day use. On traction, the stock tires are designed as general-purpose turf tires, but performance can vary depending on slope, moisture, and grass conditions. Ensuring tire pressure is set evenly and operating at moderate speeds on turns can help improve stability, especially on uneven ground. Regarding blade performance, keeping the blade sharp and balanced is key, dull blades can make cutting feel less efficient and increase strain on the mower, so periodic sharpening or replacement can improve results significantly.
On the charging setup, this model is designed as a battery-based system where charging is done externally via the included charger rather than directly through the mower. This approach helps keep the unit lighter but it does mean batteries are charged separately. To make this easier in practice, many users rotate batteries in a set sequence (charging while others are in use) to minimize downtime. If faster turnaround is needed, ensuring batteries are fully cooled before charging and using a dedicated charging space close to the storage area can help streamline the process. If you have questions about optimizing runtime or charging workflow, Greenworks support can also help review your setup and offer additional best-practice guidance. They can be reached either using the online chat function, on Greenworks Tools page, or by calling 1-888-909-6757.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the ability to use 3 batteries at a time and can swap with the other 3 if I need to. I have used this to mow and pick up leaves for our neighbors with health problems. My kids can also help with little instruction!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Think twice

Incredibly disappointed. Do not purchase unless you have a perfectly flat yard. Practically uncontrollable going down any hill.
Batteries last just past the warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello JavaDad.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the 60V 42” CrossoverZ zero turn mower. This model is designed to deliver strong performance and efficiency, but terrain can impact handling, especially on uneven ground. For safe operation, we recommend following the guidelines in the operator’s manual, including maintaining controlled speeds, avoiding sudden directional changes, and not operating on inclines greater than 15 degrees. This recommendation is in place to help ensure user safety. For areas with steeper terrain, alternative equipment such as brushcutters or string trimmers may be better suited. If your yard includes mild slopes, adjusting the lap bar sensitivity and using smooth, gradual movements can help improve control and stability.
Regarding battery performance, runtime and overall lifespan can vary based on usage, charging habits, terrain, and storage conditions. To help extend battery life, store batteries in a temperature-controlled environment and avoid leaving them fully discharged for extended periods. Even though you are out of warranty, we encourage you to contact our success team via Live Chat at Greenworks Tools or call 1-888-909-6757. Our team can review your situation and offer additional guidance.

Great Mower

Wanted a new ridding lawn mower. I researched several and the zero turn was what I decided I wanted. I live in the country so running out of gas is not an option so battery powered was a great option. Have used this zero turn for 3 years now and it has been a great experience. It runs so smoothly and is durable and just as fast as a gas mower.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful
