Comfy seat & great drive time on single charge!

This is a great mower and cuts very well. The controls are straightforward and easy to understand. The seat is very comfortable. The angled footrests and headlights are another nice feature. Above all, the best part is being able to take the batteries out to use in other tools (I have the 60V backpack blower). I've now cut my lawn around six times. My yard varies from moderately hilly to flat (3/4 acre). I can cut the lawn about 2.5 times on a single charge, and 40% of the time I'm driving at full speed/power. I have a small area that has a steep drop-off that I can cut going up or down with my previous Cub Cadet 54" zero-turn and the Greenworks zero-turn handles it just fine. The instant torque takes a bit of time to get used to, however, once you discover how easy it is to control the mower, you find that you get used to it.
The only improvement suggestions I have are as follows:
1) Since this is super quiet, you can hear the deck rattling around a lot. I'm sure my gas zero-turn did the same (but couldn't hear it over the engine noise), but having some type of dampers would help.
2) There is about a 5-second delay from turning the power on to when you can actually move forward. It would be nice to have a dedicated LED panel that tells you the drive status.
3) The throttle is very touchy and makes it hard to maneuver in tight spaces without crashing into objects. It would be nice to have a separate setting for less throttle input. I know there are high-speed and low-speed settings, but I'd like the throttle to be less senstive in certain situations, but not necessarily all the time. Being able to adjust this on-the-fly would be great.

I bought the grass catcher attachment, but I haven't used it yet. I plan to use it in the Fall.

The power and runtime is impressive. My first mow was through 5+ inches of semi-wet grass and weed. I set the height to 2.5 inches and this mower plowed right through and never bogged down for an even mow. I have a half acre and still had 75% battery left. I was hesitant to do an electric mower, but I have zero regrets with this machine.

BEST LAWN TRACTOR IN 25 YEARS

I have almost 1 acre of property. The Greenworks Lawn tractor is the best product I've purchased in the 25 YEARS I've lived here. It easily cut portions of the yard with extremely high grass. My 13 yr old granddaughter now thinks it's fun to mow the lawn! It's so nice to not have to deal with the hassle of gasoline.

A good replacement for a noisy, smelly, gas hungry John Deere

It works as expected. We had a John Deere similar mower and hated the noise and smell and gasoline. The Deere had a 54 inch cut which was nice, but with all the other downsides, the Greenworks is far better. Batteries last a long time — after mowing 2 acres, we had 65% left. The mower is very quiet with mainly just the sound of the blades turning — and it runs well. It is easy to turn. We found the low speed setting for the blades was fine, but the high speed for the mower speed worked best for us.

Bagging leaves.

Update after using bagger accessory for autumn leaf removal. Love it. Maybe not quite as thorough as a high powered leaf blower but so much easier and quieter and it gets the job done. The mower blades chop the leaves so some of the pieces fall down into the turf. I found that if there's a thick layer of leaves then running over the yard with the bagger chute removed and the mulch plate installed and then re-installing them for a second run creates a much finer mulch suitable for garden beds. It also means I only need to empty the bags twice instead of 6 times. The chute and mulch plate are easy to swap on and off with just a philips screwdriver and small pair of channel lock plyers. The two bags are easy to remove and empty. Just keep an eye on the transparent section of the chute, and as soon as you see the leaves swirling around the bags are full. If the chute does get clogged it's very easy to unhook and clean out. Also the plastic hood over the bags doesn't really need to have the strap engaged every time as it stays fully closed even when the bags get over-filled. BTW, it's probably much less effective if the leaves get wet, so I'll mow them 4 or 5 times in the fall if rain is frequently in the forecast. I still use an electric leaf blower to get them away from trees and shrubs, etc, and for cleaning off the mower before putting it away.

I purchased this mower, however the blades will not turn on. I have been unable to reach customer support and will have to do a chargeback on the credit card if not contacted.

Could be a great mower if the tires held air!

The mower was delivered with a flat front tire. I’ve taken it to two tire shops without any luck in fixing it and can’t get a real person on the phone at Greenworks. I gave up after waiting on hold for 50 minutes. It’s easily a 5 star mower other than trying to get a defect corrected.
