As soon as I actually use this product I would be happy to rate it. We haven’t moved in yet. But, I choose GE products because I currently have them in my current home and have been pleased.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are so thrilled to have you as a part of the GE Appliances family, and we are confident that this beautiful new cooktop will serve you well for many years to come.
I love that I can control my cooktop on my phone. I can preheat before I even come down in the morning. I am still learning what each burner does. Some get so hot that I have to turn them completely off so they will not overcook the food. The cooktop is beautiful.
My husband and son installed this. The surface looks beautiful and heats quickly. The controls are very easy to use. The whole configuration is sleek and looks great with my granite countertops. The various size burners are perfect for different size pots and cooking requirements.
I had to replace my 19yr old Kenmore glass cooktop. Based on ratings I chose this one. I am not happy at all. FIRST: apparently the glass top is more fragile than my old one as it does not recommend cast iron or ceramic/glass (Corning) cookware. My last one actually recommended cast iron, stainless and glass as long as flat bottomed, but warned not to slide cookware to avoid scratches, naturally. This one does not recommend cast iron but does recommend enamel coated cast iron or stainless steel, other flat bottom, non painted metal cookware. So already inferior to my 19yr old Kenmore. SECOND: This cooktop is not as powerful. It is slow to heat even on power unit compared to old one. Also, it is hard to adjust temps to exactly what you want. On the main cooking burner (which has three size selections) for example, I usually cook breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc) on three on my old stove's power unit. On this stove it is 3/4s on the dial to get the same level of cooking heat. I am not impressed at all. I truly regret this purchase. If I could get repair parts for my old one I would reinstall it and return this stove. You can do better GE.

We value this feedback. Your comments regarding your new cooktop are extremely important to us and will be considered by our product design team for review.
Glitchy, scratches easily, poor design. Have had 2 other GE ceramic cooktops for the past 25 years that worked well. This GE PROFILE 36" BUILT-IN PEP7036DTBB is terrible. Scratches so easily even with the best cookware in perfect condition. Randomly shuts off while cooking and won't turn back on. Left side burners are super small and very slow to heat up. Awful use of the cooktop space being that most of the area is not used for the burners so its large but not enough actual cooking area. Also the dimensions listed in the specs were incorrect, this thing hangs down 7" not less than 4" as indicated, so the drawer had to be cut to fit underneath the unit. returned it for a refund.
