I like that the burners are not all scrunched so close together, giving room to have multiple pots or pans on the burner at the same time. sometimes I just need to lift the pan off the cooktop, for whatever reason. the burner turns off. although it's not a dealbreaker, it is a pain to have to restart the heating button. boiling water can take a little longer than it would with gas burner. if I had a choice between a gas or induction cooktop, this would not have been my choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're so happy to see that you are loving your new cooktop. You've made a great choice by going with this model. We are also big fans. We especially love the "Kitchen Timer" which helps coordinate meal preparation and cooking when making in-depth recipes.

I love my GE induction cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second GE profile induction cooktop we have owned! We only bought this one after nine years because the top cracked on the corner. The configuration of the burners is very convenient. The surface is very very sleek and I serve food on it when I have big dinners. The controls and technology are easy to use and the zones for cooking with large pots is very sensible I like to cook…
I would recommend this to a friend!

Profile not as efficient as Monogram
on May 13, 2026

I had to replace my GE monogram in an emergency situation and had to go with the GE Profile. The profile does not seem to heat up as quickly. I also find the temperature settings to be too different - when boiling pasta last night, it was either barely simmering or over flowing and wish I could have an interim setting. I am moderately satisfied but wish I could have gone with the Monogram - there is definitely a difference!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would not purchase this again!

This stove top replaced our previous GE Profile induction stove top we purchased 15 years ago. The new one temp control is awful. There seems to be all on hot/boiling or low heat or low boil/warm, there doesn’t seem to be a good in between despite the instructions and what has been explained and demonstrated to us. If you have temp 1/2 way you would expect to have in between boiling and low but I have to keep adjusting the temp to get what I need. I should not have to do this with everything I make.
The temp adjustment is touch control, you can use up or down arrows or use your finger and use the round dial feature. I don’t like the temp controls, they don’t respond as well as my old one no matter how you adjust temp. We had a service call on previous one which due to temperature being super hot or low, no inbetwern. It was replaced with new one, but the new one is doing exactly the same thing. This stove top temperatures are not gradual, no matter where you adjust it, it goes hot and low. I would not get another one, I regret buying this one! My old one was a much better one, too bad after 15 years that one stopped working and repairs cost would have more than a new unit.
I know it is a glass top but this model shows everything on it, any splatter, drip or crumb. My old one was also glads but didn’t show it as much. I am constantly needing to clean this one no matter what it is used for.
The only positive thing I can say is it does heat things fast.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If the wattage of the burners are higher on the new model, that may help explain the differences in adjusting the burners. We recommend reviewing the online Owner's Manual for tip[s when using the burners - https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--pgMU6uZ0--/53418c06467eb7e6d5dd4a03056e1949bc7ffb51.pdf. We will also share your comments regarding the function and required adjustments of the controls with our product team.
