Good stove, but disappointed by advertising

This is a beautiful cooktop, as described by others. It was easily installed (note: it doesn't plug in... you'll need an electrician).
I was a little disappointed at how small the small burners were, but am making do. The one major flaw is that all of the pictures show temperature control. We had tested induction with a cheap single burner, that also used temperature control. It was amazing and we were excited to move ahead. This is not as powerful...and, you can only get temperature control with smart pans or a separate probe. One of the reasons I went with induction was environmental...I also changed by pans. Aka, no smart pans (which were fine on our cheap single burner). So, now to get temperature control, I'd need to buy 5 probes...which would prevent lid closures. It seems silly and is a little frustrating. That said, the 11 setting high to low settings will be like a normal stove. Just not as awesome as we were hoping. Also, with all of this in mind, the app just allows you to monitor the stove...not, adjust anything. My hubby was excited to cook from the porch. Instead, he just has me telling him to turn things up or down (think backseat cooking...poor guy!).
I will note that now that we have it, we dug further and realized the company did say this. It's just not overly obvious, so I'd want the next buyer to know.
While it's a good stove, I wouldn't buy it again, knowing what I do now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stopped working

The cooktop stopped working 2 weeks after installation. GE support came out and told us that 3 electronic boards were not responding. Parts on order.

Smart cooktop

This cooktop is impressive because it is modern and smart so you can manage it from your cell phone through an app so cooking is now easier and more fun

2nd GE Induction Cooktop

Had GE induction cooktop in last home. Now installed one in this home as i believe induction cooking is the way to go. However, I think that the burner controls could be made more visible.

I got the stain in even 1st day. We have paid 3K extra to upgrade to this product. It's brand new house and this looks terrible.

Modern & Smart!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used the basic old stoves all my life, and I never knew what I was missing! This GE Cooktop is beyond easy to install and even easier to use. It is a smart cooktop so it is touchscreen, but you will get the hang of it so quick! It does have Wi-Fi as well so you can control it from your phone, which is absolutely amazing to me! If you're looking for a new cooktop or range, I promise you; you will not regret getting this! Not only do I love how easy it is to use and the smart capabilities, but it makes my kitchen look so modern and chic! I cannot give this enough stars, try it for yourself!
