Great looking and loaded with features.

Cooktop is sleek looking and easy to clean. Controls are intuitive but take a bit of getting used to. Lightweight pans, even ones that are “induction compatible”, aren’t sensed very well by the magnetic element and sometimes turn off.

Serious compromise without built-in ventilation

Needed induction cooking with downdraft ventilation. Settled on this unit as largely affordable, and likely to be serviced and to have parts available, when needed,

Very Pleased with Induction Cooktop

I only recently heard of induction cooktops. Since I can only have electricity with my home, I researched it and the manufacturers. With my new kitchen remodel, I am so far extremely pleased with the one I chose from GE. Its beautifully streamlined on the counter, is very easy to use, and I looked forward to many years of cooking on it.

Loving our new induction cooktop!

We love our new induction cooktop. We regretted that we did not put in a gas stove when we built our house 6 years ago but after researching induction it seemed to have many of the cooking benefits of gas. We already had a GE cooktop so it was a seamless install. We love the clean look and the cooking features. We can’t believe how much quicker it heats and cooks things. So far so good.

Missing critical ventilation.

The product works as advertised. It is deficient in my home and neighborhood because it lacks down-draft ventilation. So for those who consider buying a GE induction cooktop, be aware that ventilation of smoke and odors to the outdoors requires either installing an overhead ventilation hood or a mounting a separate down draft fan unit on the countertop behind the cooktop.

Sticking with what works!

Replaced a 12-year-old GE Cooktop that still worked fine. The only reason we replaced it was because we had new granite installed. Looks and works great!

Hard to keep clean

The cooktop works ok but is very hard to clean. My “old” GE induction cooktop was much easier to keep looking clean. I think the older model was better
