I was so excited when Bobby’s Appliance sent William to install our new GE PROFILE COOKTOP. It is wonderful and so easy to use.

Had to replace our cooktop due to lightning surge and went back to GE as love the features and ease of use. This one is even better than the one we replaced.

We do like the control improvements

I and my wife injoy the last GE Profile Iduction Cooktop that we had for a approximately 15 years, over that time we had no issue with the cooktop, the only thing that went wrong with it is when I crack the glass top, I replace it myself and the cooktop went another 8 years before control feeder went out, it was going to be too expensive to fix, and likeing the last one we decided to go with the new updated one.
This new one at this time, not sure how much we are going to like this one
The burners are a little close but might be okay for a older couple like us, maybe not so much for a family
We need to get the timer volume increase, I cannot hear it at and my wife can only lightly hear it
The burners are much hotter when they are turn off and stay hot much longer, we have already burnt two kitchen towels wiping off the burners.
The glass top is much harder to keep clean, the old one top looked as good as new after many year of uses.

Ge Profile 5 burner cooktop

Just love the look, the style the feel, and the ease of this new stovetop! It took a meal to figure out the change the burner size for cooking with larger pots. My daughter helped of course! I love how there are no knobs to clean and we replaced our old 4 burner to this new 5 burner. That extra burner will come in handy for the holidays! The way these burners are spaced out are really comfortable to work with as well. Thank you!

BURN SAFETY CONCERNS -- MORE IS NOT BETTER

I am an Occupational Therapist who has specialized as a Hand therapist and have treated cooking injuries - second and third degree burns. This cooktop is a Human Skin burn hazard. Burners are too close. Small Pots & Pans touch. Handles end up over other burners. Can't safely use burners same time without concerns of skin burn. I am very unhappy with this product. Can't use my large frying pan because that burner is now in back of cooktop - this product is not safe from burn risk standpoint and an ergonomic standpoint.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We previously owned a GE profile cooktop and it served us well for about 18 years before burners started to fail. We love our new Cafe and GE appliances. Once I chose the correct icon to set up the Wi-Fi it was a snap. We've used it several times over the last few days and it cleans up easily and we found it to be wonderful. The power boil doesn't really seem to work as quickly as we would like but that may be operator error on our part. I did see where some complained about the burner coming on if you just touch the cooktop and they did not like the lock out. We have not had any problems with either. You just have to be aware of what you're doing and your surroundings.

Great touch controls

Used my cooktop for the first time this evening. Absolutely love it. Impressed with the touch controls. Unlike a touch screen computer or phone the controls work with wet hand.which is almost always when cooking!
