cook top flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we love the cook top but there is one major design flaw. The "hot" lamp is too small and can lead to someone getting burned on a hot burner. Change to make larger before you get a law suit

Clean looking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that there are no knobs to clean around. Works great but sometimes we have a problem with the touch control. Apparently, as you age, your touch isn't the same so sometimes you have to touch and retouch to turn on burners.

Broken before using it once

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this cooktop to replace a much older GE unit. The day this was installed, the “HOT” indicator lights for one of the burners stuck on and won’t shut off even after shutting the breaker off for hours and turning it back on. I haven’t even cooked a thing yet and now have to schedule a service call, the soonest of which is December 23rd, about a month away. I’m not happy to say the least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dead appliance after 9 days

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would love to give this cooktop a glowing review. Unfortunately, I can't. This is actually the second one I have had installed. The first was cracked by a different workman, so this is the one I get to review. Today is 12 December, 2025. This cooktop was installed 3 December, 2025. I love its features. It connects via bluetooth to the vent and light overhead. Turn on the burner, they turn on. Turn off the burner and they turn off in about a minute. If I had a smart pan, I could control it on the cooktop via the app on my phone. The burners were responsive. I was ready to love it. Unfortunately, I tried to use it on 10 December. It was dead. Not unresponsive, dead. Here's the kicker. I have scheduled a service call. The earliest I can schedule service is 5 January 2026. Almost a month. I can't cook on my very expensive cooktop for close to a month. I'm not happy with GE or Bodewell, their so-called 'service' company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Mistake

This is my least favorite GE product I ever purchased. When my cook top was damaged and I had to get a new one, mine had been discontinued. This one I finally choose was basically my only option. The burner configuration is awful. There is no larger burner only a two burner rectangle sync option. Heating up the burners is awful too. You have to start on the highest to get it to heat at all and then start lowering which impacts cooking. Bottom line this GE Profile cook top is not recommended. The only good feature is a button that turns all the burners off at one time. My mistake and now I’m stuck with it.
