Intuitive controls. Reliable

This is a replacement of a 15 year old GE Profile Cooktop. We are upgrading the kitchen. Excellent product. Easy to use intuitive controls. Expect same reliability as before. Problem free for the long term.

We love how intuitive it is too—especially the Precision Temperature Control. It lets you set your burner to an exact degree, not just high, medium, or low. When used with a smart pan, the cooktop maintains a specific temperature from 100 to 500 degrees—perfect for delicate tasks like sauces, candy-making, and frying.
And the Chef Connect feature is another game-changer. It syncs your cooktop with your GE Profile over-the-range microwave or hood, so the fan and lights automatically turn on when a burner is activated.

Excellent so far. Very easy to use. Very easy to install. Replaced a previous GE cooktop that suffered a failure due to a power surge. Features are nice. We like the total flat top of it with no knobs to get dirty underneath. The burners work very well so far. It was a perfect fit in size for our previous cooktop. The controls are intuitive. The black color and glass top material are a perfect match to what we had before. The metal cabinet seems sturdy.

A 22 year old cooktop gives way to 2025 model.

This is day one of our use of this new 20 x 30“ GE profile cooktop replacing a very similar model from 2002 which still was working well but we wanted to upgrade to a more modern functional top. This one looks great and appears to function well as we go through the initial Trials of burners. It is very sleek, very intuitive, and was had for about 45% off on a Presidents’ Day sale. I’m sure we will love its new features digital wise.

Beautifully functional cooktop

I have only been using my cooktop for about a month now, but enjoy it very much. It is very easy to keep clean (no knobs!), the heating elements work quickly and I like the fact that I can modify the burner size to fit my pans on most elements. I especially like the lock feature, as my cat ran across it the first time it was in and turned on three burners...
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I have not quite mastered the fine tuning of temperature using my finger to control the heat. I am sure that will improve with time. I like the left burners that can be joined for griddle use, although I have not tried it yet. Having five burners is helpful, as well. Very nice cooktop and would recommend it.
