Difficult to start. Sometimes the burners will not turn on. Sometimes a burner will automatically turn off when using more than 1.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Glass does not make a good surface

Thought we would love this product, since it was advertised as "you can boil water in under a minute!" Well you can, but the buttons are difficult to set. We set a plastic dish, yes plastic, on the edge of the glass cover and it chipped and caused a crack. Very disappointed in what is supposed to be a prime product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very touchy!

First one we had installed didn’t work correctly. The pans would only work if they were in the exact right spot on the burner. The unit was replaced finally after several attempts to repair. The new unit works better but the largest burner says it will recognize an 8” pan, it does not! I wish I would have stuck with an electric stove instead. This one is to particular on just the right type and size of pan and they are expensive!
