A new take on smart locks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me a little while before posting this review. I am happy with it. It’s not without its faults. The installation was more difficult then I expected. And you add to the fact that I needed to fix my door first. I had to purchase the warped door kit to make sure the door closes better. Once that was done I followed the directions. It took some time to install the new lock. I did like the ability to register multiple fingers. This is easier then remembering a code, unfortunately the person needs to be at the lock to program. Overall I was impressed. So far the wireless connection has been stable. I do need to see how long the batteries last. In the meantime I will still carry a key as a backup.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Didn't work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door wouldn't hand properly. I have tried several times to get the door to hand properly to work with my door and it wouldn't work. It kept saying it was jammed when in reality it was not jammed and the door was open. When assessing, the door lock moved smoothly.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. To fix the jamming error, we recommend loosening the small mounting bolts on the interior assembly. Please measure the door frame jamb hole to make sure that it's at least 1 inch deep and is clear of debris, check your door alignment, and perform the manual door handing step below.
1. Open the door and extend the latch to the locked position.
2. Remove the battery pack.
3. Press and HOLD the Program button while reinserting the battery pack—release button once the battery pack is installed. The status LED will flash red and green.
4. Press the Program button once more.
5. The latch bolt will retract about halfway in and then extend to learn the door's orientation.

Seriously a must have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am simply amazed by the Halo Touch fingerprint smart lock , it took about 40 minutes to read the instructions and have it installed. It has an app that you download , when you open your door it sends an alert to your phone that your door is unlocked, I don't think I've felt this safe in a long time. The alert I get on my phone is pretty loud so I can hear it in the other room. It has a fingerprint lock , which you can add quit a few people to your lock. The good thing is that it also comes with keys , just in case your WiFi is acting up. The deadbolt is really thick and the lock itself is very well made. Having this smart lock has made me feel safe enough to sleep through the night without worrying about my families safety.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the oast several years we have added many smart products to our home. We have looked at many door locks in the past to add to our home and haven't found one we liked with all the features we were looking for. This Kwikset Halo Touch checked all our boxes. The contemporary look and finish matched the current knob that we have, it is easily integrated into our Google Home system. The packaging and instructions made installation easy for a homeowner with some basic knowledge of locks and door hardware. Each step of the directions was clearly marked and the corresponding hardware was marked each in their own boxes. The app was very user friendly and gave great step by step directions for setting up the smart features of the lock. The Fingerprint scanner is a great quality and does not allow for other erroneous prints to open the lock. Overall this is an amazing smart home product that I recommend to anyone looking to add a smart lock to their home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received and installed the Kwikset HALO Touch one week ago. I am amazed on how easy it was to install it on my front door.
The Quick Start Guide is well done and the labelled on each box really help to follow the steps. Once installed, if you do not know it is a fingerprint lock, there is no way to know, it is really discreet.
Another thing very nice and handy is how to access the battery compartment, no need a screwdriver, just pull the battery compartment.
The next big step is to install the App on a phone, one thing to be sure before hand is to check the phone operating system version. The minimum for android is 8.0. After creating an account, I called everyone in the house and we did setup the fingerprints for each member. It took about 5mn. I like the possibility to give access a certain part of the day, like if you have a maid, you can setup his/her fingerprints and allow access only when he/she is supposed to come. Of course, with the App you can follow who is entering, or that the door has been lock or opened if the key was used. For our family this door lock is great because no key needed for the kids, no risk of losing keys and even if someone spies, there is no code, so in my opinion this system is the safest.
My conclusion is that if you want to invest in a door lock, do not hesitate and buy the Kwikset HALO Touch. You will not regret it.

Keyless entry with just finger print!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't have to look for my keys anymore, I can enter my house with just my finger print. It can store up to 50 different finger prints to let my children and anyone I choose in my home. Wi-Fi and halo enabled can be used for added entry possibilities. I can manage my lock with my smatphone from anywhere and it also keeps track of entry and exits of the door it is used on. You can also use the key if you like just anthor option if you like. It's a great product you will love!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted a smart lock for my ever growing smart home and this lock exceeds every expectation the easy to follow install guide made installing this lock a breeze the sleek black color fits wonderful with my door and kitchen. The app is extremely easy to use and it's great that you can program both thumbs to the door for up to 50 people. I highly recommend this lock
